There is another round of layoffs looming. It’s going to start today. Half of my team got an invite to a call at noon with our director & a member of HR. I’m not sure how deep this round goes.

Just a note for those confused by the info provided in the Displacement Packet regarding the timing...

PTO and Final Paycheck for me were just deposited in my bank account on the last day of my 60-day non-working period. Thought it would be next week, but no. Submitting my Lump Sum request tomorrow (1st day of my "free agency"). I'll let you know how long that takes to process.

Got pulled into a call with my manager and told I was laid off with 25min before access was revoked. That's nowhere enough time to handle critical knowledge transfers and other responsibilities. What is the plan when things start falling apart tomorrow, next week, next month? I was leading a critical governance and compliance team, what SHOULD be one of the last ones to get laid off, let alone without any warning or plans.

Two companies in New Jersey announced 260 job cuts. Verizon Corp Resources Group filed notices for 191 workers. These Verizon layoffs will occur in two rounds by September. Digital Room LLC plans to eliminate 69 positions in Saddle Brook. These new filings contribute to 746 total layoffs disclosed in June.

The documentation says that I will notify Citi if I find a new job during notice period, and that they will pay the balance in a lump sum. Does that basically mean you get the balance of what is left of the 90 Days' notice period, but you lose benefits as well as PTO accrual from the termination date that you give them?

A third of the posts are in regards to the many different ways that the WARN notice for NY\NJ can be interpreted, why? Is it really that complex? Is it really that dynamic to where it changes so often, you have to constantly crunch the numbers?

I live on Apple St., which is one block over from outside the NY city limits. If its a Tues at 3PM and I get placed on notice but I’m not told about it until the following Friday at 1PM, do I get an extra 2.37 days worth of pay? etc…. WTF kind of questions are these plaguing this board?!?!

I don’t see any other location discussing all the different possible gyrations of how to squeeze another 2 cents, 2 days, whatever out of the system.

Hearing about layoffs and people being notified in at least 2 groups. What is the extent?

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) notified Virginia officials of potential layoffs. 174 employees at the Pentagon may be affected. These layoffs could begin on August 8, 2026. I am hearing rumors of another round in DGE later this summer... If that is what is going to happen, I assume those layoffs will happen by the end of July. that way there is 60 days of WARN notice before the end of the fiscal year.... good luck everybody.
