Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Restructuring question

Which product lines is Dell discontinuing, in this restructuring? Hearing most cuts are associated with product discontinuation. Is that accurate?

@eq Yet Michael Dell can work from the White House apparently.

With his ugly azz wife on the side.

I hope he at least used One Dell Way to sign off on a vacation day for himself.

Major cuts in UDS (PowerScale/ObjectScale) though those products are not being discontinued. Engineers are being told to work harder as they have to take on their former colleagues’ work as well as their own. Ha. Good luck with that.

Rumor is that there is a goal to have no more than 5% remote employees and layoffs will continue until that goal is reached.

PowerFlex lost a lot of people this week. Not sure how it will continue as a product with such a diminished head count.

PPDM and Cyber Recovery are done.

Although, one could easily argue they were never above water to begin with.
