Which product lines is Dell discontinuing, in this restructuring? Hearing most cuts are associated with product discontinuation. Is that accurate?

Powerstore is done.
Vxrail is also done due to redundant technologies and lack of profitability.
The company goal is to focus on core technologies and higher profits. They are doing exactly what VMware is doing by restructuring everything just at a higher pace. They are also shifting business needs to where the money is: AI.
Is it a groundbreaking change of business ? It’s too soon to find out but im pretty sure the layoffs won’t stop.
@bm PPDM is an absolute joke. Too little too late paired with ancient DD. Scaleout? Hahahahaha. Sad how market dominance was squandered. Ray L. Nice guy you know what happens to them right? Some of his reports spread their way up the ladder they think changing words on PowerPoint is going to make a difference. Customers don't want to talk to SRP reps unless they have no choice due to their own inept decision making. SRP is trash
@eq so how long will they drag it out? Guessing if remote business meeting email coming soon to your inbox?
Major cuts in UDS (PowerScale/ObjectScale) though those products are not being discontinued. Engineers are being told to work harder as they have to take on their former colleagues’ work as well as their own. Ha. Good luck with that.
Rumor is that there is a goal to have no more than 5% remote employees and layoffs will continue until that goal is reached.
VxRail is done
@bq wait there are still "tests" ? only pflex "converted" all QE test folks to be developers via magic wand last year?
I spy pi---d off customers soon.
@OP iDRAC rumored to have lost a lot. Not sure what areas dev or test but heard more cuts possible.
PowerFlex lost a lot of people this week. Not sure how it will continue as a product with such a diminished head count.
PPDM and Cyber Recovery are done.
Although, one could easily argue they were never above water to begin with.
