I recently found out they'll be doing more layoffs at KTD and probably GO soon. I know for sure CIS and Product will get hit hard. I hope you get your severance!

@jp yes they are! I was being sarcastic. So many lives are being impacted right now and it’s sad we have to hire a 3rd party to define how this goes. BCG has sc--wed this up the last couple times. This may be the worse though. I’m hoping for the best for everyone and for all those families soon to be impacted.
@jq do we know which group is bad
@e3 when have rumors been untrue with Kroger in 2025?
Seems like people are getting invites, same roles having different leaders.
Might be a Group A good, Group B getting told you are being let go. Yael/Sriram are leading two of the same meetings at the same time
@jj #bostonconsultinggroup is a total joke. I wouldn’t trust them to reorg my sock drawer. They have no clue what they’re doing.
was this sent out to full teams or specific people? do we know?
Some got invites for a 12:00 meeting and others 12:30.
Got a 12:30 "organizational update" meeting from my senior VP. Another SWE on my team got the same meeting at the same time. Here's hoping for the best.
And now we all just wait. Productivity is shot this week. Is this another wonderful idea of BCG? It starts with Leadership…
@g4 You nailed it. That is EXACTLY what happened. EXACTLY.
@je what departments?
Business has an organizational update at 12:30 with Gabriel.
Meeting invites sent
Yael is such a fake corpo loser. Hate his stupid voice - listened to one town hall and now I turn it on and mute it because all of these clowns are spineless cowards who don’t care about people. I’d sooner swallow acid than I would come to work for this company like I did knowing now what I do.

This message posted on the company's MyInfo site (HR, payroll systems, etc).
It seems consistent with layoffs, particularly since it's all of the KTD offices. They announced a 4 day return to office earlier this year, which was even more extreme than in-office requirements before COVID. Everyone suspected at the time that it was a move to encourage people to resign so they wouldn't have to do a massive restructuring of the technology area. It's possible that didn't result in the numbers they wanted so this is the more direct approach. It's also interesting that this comes 10 days after a judge ordered former CEO Rodney McMullen to disclose why he resigned earlier in the year. There could be some dark sh-t related to that. Whatever the reason, Kroger has had a real problem with telling the truth in the post-COVID world and it's definitely not the same company I went to work for 15+ years ago.
Definitely layoffs at GO. When I left the building today, there was security patrolling the parking lot and inside the building. Whatever happens, people are not going to be happy about it.

I hope they learned some lessons from "Transformation":
Let's make you work 14 hour day/7 day weeks through COVID.
Then, after 7 months, we'll tell you that we delayed "Transformation" so we could keep you when we needed you during COVID, but we're going to go ahead and let you know now that you don't have a job.
Even though we both know you'll be jobless in 30 days, you're going to have to interview for your job anyway.
So, if you stick around for 30 days, in a vacuum of information, you "may" get severance.
Meanwhile, let's celebrate these people who just got promoted and report to Yael!
Does anyone have an uplift to share?

FYI this is exactly how it went down at 8451. Everyone was asked to work remotely, email comes out announcing staff reduction, those who were impacted were notified and their accounts terminated. Not saying that's what's going to happen; but there's a pattern.
It’s layoffs. They don’t want people to cause a scene or damage property.
@fh but why is all of KTD remote this week? Are they sending them fully remote? Slashing them all?
Supposedly G.O. Is supposed to get an email someday this week around 5 pm that gives more details of the reorganization.
@fb came here looking for this answer too
Any idea why they are asking everyone to work from home this week? Is it related to layoffs?
Rumors can be detrimental to a person’s well-being and productivity. Do you have a reliable source? Or are these everyday rumors that tend to run rampant in corporate America?
