I recently found out they'll be doing more layoffs at KTD and probably GO soon. I know for sure CIS and Product will get hit hard. I hope you get your severance!

@ky I am so sorry to hear this. The way this is being done makes me sick to my stomach. So many good, long term associates are being let go.
Very anxious for 12:30
@kz so sorry, that's horrible. What was their excuse.... "re-org"
What happened in the Sriram meeting?
@ky I’m sorry, genuinely.
I’m in the 12:30. I’ll update what I learn asap, for my fellow anxious people out there.
Almost 15 years and I was let go in an impersonal call from a person who wasn't here 5 years ago.
What was the severance offered?
@ks I've heard that no one knows who is on the meetings. Everything is private and off.
Prayers to the parents, children, grandparents, brothers, sisters, friends—we’re all in this journey together.
@ks for Jim and Yael, yes.
@kq what teams were these? KTD?
This is why no one should be ki-ling themselves everyday for these corporations. They don’t give two fu--s about the everyday people doing all their work.
Everyone on Jim's 12 call was let go
@kk
Just got layoff message from Jim and HR Ashly, these are cowards, frankly it is relief.
@kk Jim looks like a frog.
Someone has to have an update 👀
There is also a Jim meeting at 12:30pm Eastern.
@k9 HRs already notified the impacted resources?
@kf there is also a Jody meeting
- 1 if your in the sriram meeting, -1 if your in the yael meeting. lets see where the majority lands.
@kd 🙋♂️
Who up refreshing non stop
It's Transformation part 2 guys, fun layoff time. Enjoy. Roles and projects within KTD are being removed or reprioritized.
@ka I think that's a timezone issue and they are all really 12 and 12:30 Eastern.
Whoever is on that 11 am needs to update us
@k2 My favorite part was that some people were told to tell no one. Others were told they could tell whoever they wanted. Everyone was told that, if they were not being immediately severed, they were welcome to apply for the new roles that were being posted. Of course, there were only a few of each classification of role. If you didn't get an interview, you were out. If you didn't secure a role based on one of your interviews, you were out. If you applied for a role that they weren't going to consider you for, you were out, even if there were roles they would have thought you to be a good fit for. If you didn't apply for those roles, you were out. Any work you had in progress, you dropped because they were considering your current role no longer necessary.
I know 1 person that was a WFH, they used to be a GO Analyst but went remote last year... just got let go this morning. There's been a handful of people at GO that got a HR meeting added to their calendars, and the majority of us got the "Organizational Update Meeting" 15min team meeting.
Does anyone know when Destiny 2 servers will be back up?
@k4 there was a meeting scheduled at 11 as well.
Might be from that.
@k4 where’d you hear this from? No specifics obviously.
Anyone hear anything yet? I heard some people have already been fired.
@jh a couple of other things I remember from "transformation":
1) you were told you were getting laid off ON THE WEEK OF THANKSGIVING!
2) management cancelled all meetings with those getting cut. Good luck getting any answers from them
3) KTDHR became completely unresponsive. "Became" may be too nice, as they never were responsive. Good luck getting answers from them.
4) Yael/Sriram were in denial of feedback. "This is going well! We already know it. We don't need feedback."
5) You think you're lucky if you're not cut? Wrong. Deadlines won't change; you just have half the staff to implement them now.
Yes I have one at 1230 from Gabriel sent to the entire team I work for.
84.51 just got an invite for an all company update at 1:30 Eastern. Marked as a Private Appointment sent to the whole company DL.
Plenty of people I know had gone to Kroger to avoid what we all saw coming for 84.51. What they did to 84.51 was shameless. Replacing a wealth of talent with offshore resources and crushing people early in their career.
To think that working at either organization was considered to be "the place to be." How things have changed.
@js My hunch is yael, since he's the executive and probably will take the responsibility to let people go himself.
I have no idea though.
Wowza
@g9 Feed ON the Human Spirit
@jj I cannot take another bombshell in 2025.
We've had the merger failure, Rodney getting ousted, the Q1 layoffs, the lawsuits, and morale in the cr-pper.
