That was the old system when we had bonus targets. Used to be 50%-150% of target. Now it's all smoke and mirrors

Correction using commas for decimals:
2,90% Merit
15,25% Bonus

Not sure why it changed those to bullets.

Had some colleges get 0% Merit / 0% Bonus.

  1. 90% Merit
  2. 25% Bonus

I thought the bonus system operated on a concept of Min/Mid/Max, with a floor. I believe it takes extraordinary effort for a 2-up manager to override a 1-up manager's recommended allocations to push the distribution of zero's to a compensation pool.

I also believe the direct managers don't find out until they prepare to have the EOY conversations. Direct Managers finalize the pool and submit to 2-up for approval. If the 2-up modifies the distribution, the modifications are not shared back down.

This all seems like a calculated move to send a message.

saw on Bloomberg this morning that Charlie's got a 7.6% raise. I thought those considered highly compensated (>250k) weren't supposed to get raises.

I'm p5 and bonus was 40%. there are different types of p5 and not all have the same comp grade. Also, could be dependent on LOB and where you were at bonus wise before they did away with bonus targets. my bonus was actually up from last year by a few %

Are all these 30% or higher bonus fake news? I'm in a P5 job and haven't cracked 25% in years and always rated exceeds or meets.

@g0+1 - I don’t think “grandfathered in’ is a thing anymore. Either people are fibbing or their managers are serious pull.

Bonus and raise are FLAT. The bonus percentage has decreased due to increases in salary.

My point is, the percentages some ate getting, compared to others, is disgusting. Especially when some just got a “meets”.
