Why are there still so many remote people in CA. I know people that think that they won’t get displaced due to location strategy because they are “special”. Seriously. You know what nothing shocks me in the world of WF and favoritism and cliches. Well it is time to speak up to this garbage. Everyone else has to go into the office or get laid off. Not CA

us PST folks work on IST as much as we do EST. As for concord, available space and parking depends on what building your in. my floor is quite empty and the paid garage (free for those assigned to concord) always has plenty of available parking. The other wf garage not so much.

@bx

They laid off several I'm SF the last Tuesday and have been for the past year. It's not attrition only in SF but slow cuts. Dreadful environment.

And then there is the Concord CA office, it is packed to the rims both in the office and parking garage…

I work in SF and ultimately I am f**ked. It is a ghost town here and the “firm” is clearly NOT prioritizing this location. There are a few strands of teams/important personnel but SF is only a core location in name only.

The irony of suits in New York, that get paid in the tens of millions, saying IT folks in San Francisco are too expensive for needing 1-2 hundred grand to survive.

If you're the CEOs pet market, nothing else is a factor.

At some point Wells Fargo has to offer more than layoffs to boost earnings. Morgan Stanley bought E-Trade and Eaton Vance after making fun of Citi's diversification they also thought they could run wealth management better than Sandy weilll who made James Gorman look like a kid in a sandbox. Charlie Scharf is similar. A total id--t. Wells is a joke and the advisors there are lacking.

No layoffs and no new roles ..reduction through voluntary attrition…most leaders left for better opportunities outside ..

who is the highest level leader based on CA?

It's a matter of time for SF. Lot of techies there, but that's one of HYs bigger targets. Once they are all outsourced to India, the remaining paper shufflers in SF won't be worth the high wages and expensive operating environment. It'll end at some point, the only question is when.

According to leadership in HY, they are being pushed to remove directs without team presence.
