GPS needs a huge overhaul.
Does anyone know what is going on in GPS? Several key people have left recently and leadership seems both absent and clueless as to how much work it takes to keep the train on the tracks.
@p3 I think it's a better fit the other way around -- the bank is essentially a computer system, with humans to maintain it and feed it the data it processes. A few of the humans get to set the system's parameters, while most just refresh the paint job.
I wonder how much money this bank could save if it stopped trying to be a tech company and started trying to be a money center bank. I have more tech help tickets going than I can keep up with to make the cr-p that I am told to use to do my job, work. Everything from my phone, to the connectivity of my computer while IN the office, to two different software platforms. It is absolutely ridiculous and I’m stunned by just how bad it has become. Can’t wait to see how bad AI makes it around here!

A LOT of middle management is quitting, retiring, or moving to different roles in addition to big departments being moved around.
Unsurprisingly, the big shots are pushing for AI to take a bunch of our jobs, much to the gratification of the almighty shareholders, I'm sure. AI is one heck of a lot cheaper than paying a salary, health insurance, benefits, payroll taxes, and more to fIesh and bl00d humans.
There seems to be a lot of hiring going on in areas that are meeting service levels. Maybe getting ready to replace people they are going layoff?

did you know that the head of credit trading got together with the head of sustainable finance (so both of these are direct reports to the president of Global Markets) and because of their affair both their respective marriages ended, both had small children. but that's not really new news anymore, it's a few years old.
