Thread regarding Belk layoffs

‘Churn and Burn’ associates and managers

RVP’S and GvPs are told to churn and burn all store managers and associates

Push as many people out as possible (managers included) get em out, get em in at a lower pay rate

They now want frequent turnover to keep costs down, always hiring at a lower pay rate

The quality of the person they hire does not matter as long as they are low cost

Some people won’t quit, so they increase workload, micromanaging, favoritism, ect….you see this at belk time and time again

It will only get worse

Get out if you can is my only advice

@155 I believe it. They've been increasing my workload and giving me undesirable shifts lately while other employees are getting preferable shifts. HR has been trying to override my availability and scheduling me on days I have listed in Reflexis as unavailable. They've also been trying to gaslight me. This is just a part-time gig. I have a full time job. It's not a big deal to me if they let me go. If you want me out, just say so. Stop with the mind tricks.

Belk corporate needs to realize that these tactics are all being exposed, nothing is “confidential “ anymore.

@OP long time/full time associates and long time managers at my store have been targeted for a long time. They want them out probably to save money and not pay benefits.

@bx

Absurd post? Huh?
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

[[[[[This is happening all over the company
They are overworking certain people and underworking some people. People (both corporate executives , management and rank and file associates and at stores) are quitting and getting fired by the bus load……What on earth are you talking about?]]]]]]

@bx. Why does belk have so many in-store job fairs? Over and over again? Extremely high turnover in both management and associate positions?

This actually might be the most absurd thing I've seen posted in here. Do you know how much it costs company to onboard new associates, especially when you account for lost sales.
