@ks show me on the doll where Corporate Risk hurt you. They are brought in to do a job just like you were. Just because you don't like their job, doesn't mean they aren't doing what they were hired to do. And like everyone else, they will and have lost people now that the consent orders have closed which we've all seen leadership celebrate because it means being able to get rid of even more emplpyees.

@ks What did Corp Risk ever do to hurt y'all so much? Why do you care so much? If that's not the group you work in, mind your own business.

@k5 Spot on. And Corporate Risk people somehow don't understand that the revenue earners they actively harass and thwart are the ones subsidizing their jobs. Zero sense of urgency and no interest in addressing client needs. And yet they seem safer then anyone these days somehow. People keep saying Risk will be cut but there are still thousands of them. Will that change on 5/26? Not holding my breath. Maybe Risk is the safest place to be under current leadership, mo--nic as that seems.

@j9 That's logical and he always been my mantra. But WF is so a-s-backwards now that there are thousands of people doing nothing of value in corporate risk with seemingly no end in sight. They need to be cut in half (at least), starting with the "Chief Risk Office."

Seems like the safest place is on the business side. Be a part of generating revenue for the firm.

@bt ask the people in Elder Fraud complaints…. Oh wait! They were let go. Copilot is doing their jobs now.

Every month I’m hearing about a certain date being a big layoff date but more times than not it doesn’t happen.

Such as the problem with anonymous posting, you never know the source or context

@bt Not yet, but I believe they have to lay people off first to pay for the AI development to then determine if the AI can truly eliminate people.

There are discussions in Risk that AI will help recognize significant efficiencies by replacing more junior employees who perform simple routine tasks.

@an has anyone actually seen ai efficiency that can eliminate people? So laughable

That is always the question of the hour, "when?" They're pretty good at keeping that information from getting out. You just get to sit in constant wonder if the next Tuesday after payday is the day. Do not fear, the end is coming and they'll toss you to the side like an old rag doll.

Considering the quarterly report just stated we cut 4200 jobs from 12/31/25-3/31/26 and plan to reduce more due to “ai efficiency “ - yrs there will be more layoffs.

The only thing you can be absolutely certain of is that there will probably be layoffs somewhere within the firm.
