Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Merry Xmas to all who got transferred to Cognizant

Under terms FIS is going to pay markup on existing salaries to Cognizant. The usual contract is for 6 months and 30 to 50% markup.

Around X-Mas time, 6 months contract time will be coming to an end. FIS will say bye bye to all of you.
Cognizant salaries are peanuts. The pay Senior Database Architect 120K max. In short, you will not find new project in Cognizant.
During 2026 holidays, Cognizant manager will send you a sweetly worded letter, telling you that your job is being shelved.

Thats why wishing you.. Merry X-mas.

One year contract, yes but it doesn't mean all contractors for 1 year

@a5 Is that agreement between FIS & Cognizant or does it extend to individual employees? I have not seen that it guarantee individuals any amount of time. It seems like FIS and Cognizant are intentionally vague on this to give people a false sense of security while they train their replacement.

The FT legacy employees rebadged to Victory Funds instead of receiving severance do not know how long they will be toiling in the trenches there. The senior manager was just laid off. It's up for grabs as to how long they will await their fate. It su-ks and life at FIS is a real thrill ride.
