Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

CM Dept

Anyone in CM ever been put on coaching for "failing" a SOFT audit? I truly think mgmt is trying to get us to quit or fire us for "not meeting expectations" before VSP takes effect. Centene has truly turned out to be a grimy place. I will spend the rest of my days encouraging people to avoid working here & avoid signing up for their plans.

@ay I have been here 6 years. High performer and exceeded expectations on all but one evaluation. Never failed an audit and I have gotten 5 coachings in since the VSP. I was told "these are not like real coachings". But they do lead to a PIP. It's hard not to feel some kind of way when on top of that, we don't know if we will be let go in a few weeks.

@br coaching isn't a bad thing, shouldn't last more than a fews weeks. It isn't easy to place someone on a PIP, they really have to not care and have chosen to follow their own rules. Teams are tired of peers that need help every month, give excuses as to why they can't keep up, and get away with claiming OT. Then there's those that are on a PIP and go out on FMLA. Take the VSP you shiesty clowns.

Never heard of anyone being coached or placed on a PIP that didn't deserve it.

Yes i have and known many people too. Centene has no desire to performance manage you out at this point they can put you on the RIF list. If they are providing feedback it is to help you grow.

They are looking for anything they can right now and I agree it is a slimy way to save the company money. I have a strong suspicion that if they extend you VSP exit date that they will te--orize or make sure that we leave with nothing. So…. Document everything, demand accountability, demand information not just generalization.
If they want to put you on a PIP then send an email requesting:
1) the specific metric to calculate success or failure during this period.
2) the timeline and frequency of expected feedback meetings with supervision.
3) the resources or supports that will be provided to me to help me succeed during this time.
4) confirmation that this information aligns with my official job description.
The email should be professionally worded and imply that you’re trying to meet the standard while in this period. Just trying to get the set of expectations in order to do so.

Do with this what you will, and may the odds be ever in our favor!

is CM Case management or care management? I've never failed an audit but I do feel like they are policing extra hard right now

@a4 I have actually been with the company and have not failed a hard or soft audit in over 2 years.

Centene CM is a complete joke. Their audits are d-mb and completely miss the point. I can only hope that they will eventually be exposed for how poorly they direct their CM teams. Basically doing nothing and slappin’ numbers on a report to look busy.

@OP this is the way. They want accountability so hold them accountable! They want to operate in the shadows, so shine a light! They’re not even the best show in town. Act like je-ks, get exposed for who you really are!

Take that same passion to Glassdoor and give em another bad review. Yes, you. Everyone who’s feeling pain from this death by a thousand paper cuts.

Go ahead and speak the truth.
