Hearing some pretty heavy rumors this week that a major downsizing is headed our way for the commercial aviation teams. Honestly, it looks like Starlink’s recent wins have completely eaten our lunch, and to make matters worse, our hybrid LEO/GEO antenna is apparently having consistent technical issues with no fix in sight. Since the team hasn't been able to secure any more funding to iron out those hardware bugs or land any new customer contracts, management's strategy is basically to cut the division down to a skeleton crew just to sustain what's left. Does anyone hear the same rumors?

HR consolidated under corporate and the Gov Hr team got laid off, at least the useless PhDs are gone. P&C is a leaderless mess
Well Starlink and Amazon Leo just put enough FUD into the b2b and b2c market to have customers thinking “why would I take a weaker proposition from Viasat?” It’s shame…Ben P is a great leader in my experience but unfortunately he is shackled with both the market dynamics, an abysmal CTO and a tired CEO who has seen his company royally disrupted
This is typical of Viasat. If you run out of things to do they tell you to find something to do or you're gone. If something takes longer than a p-e brain manager can comprehend they just ki-l it.
