This sounds more like regular surgical cuts that always happen than a major round.

I know at least one person from the IT department that was let go. She was the last US manager for the help desk. Now basically all the managers for the help desk and second level are in the Philippines. And some brand new managers at that. Afternoon I just want the cheapest labor. People who have no experience being managers or even help desk people they're just customer service reps with a fancy title. The US IT people build up all the knowledge base so it's easy for them to just look at that instead of knowing anything about IT. I say just wait till you're late off so you get some form of severance if you leave before then the company pays literally nothing.

We will probably have more layoffs in UHG overall with the RFK cuts to Madicaid in MN and CA. Remember, Republicans only care about live before birth. After that, you are on your own.
@am Can you provide context around the 728? Is this across all of Optum? Is this just Optum Insight or a specific division? Is this the number of people selected?
I'm not saying it isn't true, but providing context would make this more credible.
