I keep hearing that Farrell is cutting the engineering department next. Does anyone have any serious information on this?

As men continue to flee this sinking ship we call RLS, supervision is struggling to figure how to finish started projects by the end of the year closure.

Just got word from upper management that there will be no Christmas holiday this year, mandatory full shop workload. As well there will be a box for food donations in the lobby to benefit those furloughed.

Another "quality" rebuild/conversion/overhaul by Juniata. The 4094 is just the latest in a trend of terrible work to hit the rails out of Altoona yet they are still doing DC-AC's. This engine was built during overhaul in August or September of 2018... — read more

Many of the local sections are down to skeleton crews. I don't know how this is sustainable long term. What is their end game? Combine territories? Bring on contractors to do section work? Hiring obviously isn't happening.

Not looking good. Looks like they are sending more and more engines south for repairs and maintenance per my source deep within the bowels and nether regions of corporate.

Yes we can.

The four axle geeps may be sold. NS new operating principles is that each major terminal is required to have 4 axle unit to switch customers that don’t have the trackage for 6 axle power. I can't firm, nor deny it but that's what I was told.
