Thread regarding Insight Enterprises Inc. layoffs

It's about that time - yet again!

Well, Q2 is almost in the books, and you know what's cooking in the kitchen besides some 30oz steaks on the grill? More cuts, cut the fat, cut the hype, cut me a steak! Man, make it two!

Getting those lists ready as we really need to make the numbers to show just how much a difference getting a new head honcho is making. Let's make sure to keep it under 50 in every state just so that we don't have to put out any WARN notices, OK?

While we are at it, let's pretend we did something interesting with AI, like a security thing-a-jig that is not AI, but kind of sounds like it is. Or maybe we helped a mid-market company no one has ever heard of doing something wh-z-bang with AI? Yes, that sounds about right. Print it!

And also while no one is paying attention to us (really no one is) let's hire more Cisco folks who are washed up and were on the list for LR (go look it up).

@1re which ones were fired? Cause none of them were technical to begin with. Like the most D- IT team I have ever witnessed. Really.

@1f4 They fired all the remaining technical leaders after moving the IT org under the business org. Now it is a bunch of project managers and business grads playing at being IT leaders. Every integration project they spend millions to outsource to consultants(while missing every deadline)because no one left knows how to deliver anything. Even when hiring offshore labor they put on tight budget constraints that prevented them from hiring good offshore talent. The whole org is now running on incompetent leadership and the cheapest offshore labor they could find.

@1pv Now really curious to see what the reaction to this is:

https://www.geekwire.com/2026/microsoft-announces-2-5b-frontier-company-to-embed-ai-engineers-inside-customers/

So, MSFT is going direct in the space and just put $2Bil behind it, why need Insight? To play and PAY E7 rates while taking more customers away. HAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

You got played!

@1f4 ain't that the truth! This place really has zero technical talent, there are no technologists, all the way up to the 1,000's of CTOs. Let's hand out titles to pump up the optics that we are a tech building company, that builds nothing. I can not tell you how many client engagements fail or are built sloppily and need to get rearchitected over and over. Like a lot, like a lot lot.

But hey, we put out a rushed press release stating not much, I think that AI wrote it as it sure feels like it. Tokenmaxxxx me man. Where's the leaders on the leaderboard??? Drafting up another list for those on the chopping block.

This place is an absolute joke. The d-mbest people get promoted and recognized on a regular basis. All the best people have left for greener pastures. There are people employed here who couldn't run a product team or develop a working product if they had a g-n to their head. And it's most of the delivery managers and their peers who are constantly sitting there acting like they know what they're talking about. Most people here are glorified secretaries at best.

I have never seen so many people with their heads in the sand. This culture has turned from we all love each other to we want to put a target on you cause you are dragging down earnings or you don't drink the koolaide. What a fricking joke it has become.

Well with those large severances paid to the CAP folks to get out of Dodge (not the guy we sued), along with the premiums of hiring all the Cisco buddies, sure need to make room in the budget to fund them. They are now coming in almost daily.

Anyone seen Bob? LOL.

I feel that the Accenture wave is about to start with those disastrous quarterly results. Fact is Jack-Attack was pushed out, no way he was going to get the top dawg spot, so what's better than trying to play second fiddle? End up here.

Morale is in the gutter, no one knows which team is going to get hit next. Client ops has mostly been gutted and moved off-shore. Every exec has a quota to cut cut cut.

So, what's up with pipeline? Not much but if you are sitting around drinking the kool-aide one would think that we are about to put Accenture, Deloitte, Slalom, CDW and everyone else out of business. What's happening is quite the opposite in reality.
