Verizon Stock Together

2026 stock together has been approved with grant date Oct 1,2026
So if NJ requires 90 days notice and they have to get people off the books to avoid that payout, then a June 30 announcement for an off payroll date kinda makes sense.
Does anyone have any insights to any announcement on June 30th ? This is all speculative, im just looking at rumors and how timelines could match up to the stock together date.

Why do people care about $10k in options vested over 3 or 4 years? You will barely be able to buy a beat-up Civic with that money.

A 90 day notice isn't required for all employees. That's why with the November RIF the majority of those impacted were off payroll 30 days after notice. There were some 60 or 90 days, such as those that worked in NJ or WA, etc. But it isn't a blanket 90 day notice for everyone impacted.

It is highly likely that anyone who has already been given notice would not be eligible for the grant. This would be in line with what they did for the March VSP people last year. No BPI and no Stock together grant even though they were still on the payroll when those events occurred.

@OP 1. I’ve wondered the same thing. It seems very strange that VZ would leave Stock Together money on the table and I’m not buying that they are taking their time to carefully review who stays and who goes - that would be totally out of character for VZ. Maybe they will just re-write the terms when they realize their mistake?

@OP that’s what I do not understand about this July 15th floating around, if you are around for the Oct 1st grant date then you would be eligible for it. Makes no sense to me? Unless there is a clause that those riff’s after Oct 1st wouldn’t be eligible.
