I recently found out they'll be doing more layoffs at KTD and probably GO soon. I know for sure CIS and Product will get hit hard. I hope you get your severance!

@nd that warn notice was for store closures.
249 in portland oregon per WARN act filed on 7/17/2025. So its probably in the neighborhood of 500+ let go between portland, GO, and KTD.
...hundreds...
@mq said it would be something along the lines of monthly pay per years of service, but nothing specific. Will be revealed one-on-one with HR during exit interview. Also depends on employment status ("in good standing") and possible eligibility of bonus based on other factors. Time TBD
@n3 20+ year GO employee (Portland office) laid off at 9am (Pacific time) MS Teams video.
@n8 can’t be true, talking to one right now.
Heard all fully remote buyers are gone
@n6 buyer at blue ash. I’m safe.
Any marketing, category managers, or buyers let go from blue ash office? Computer broke yesterday and going in to fix it tomorrow because tech support is not able to fix online.
73 KTD associates were let go. Product and Engineering leadership will be combining. Others will be given new roles.
I cannot speak to the GO side. They also had meetings today around all lines of business.
Speaking only to KTD here.
@kp what area are you from?
@mt Invites and calls all had attendees hidden, no way to see who or how many were on the call.
@m8 me too.
@mt we can't see anything, he even turn off the chat He/Jim is a coward.
@mt it was all private so couldn’t see participants. Guessing it was in the dozens.
@ky what main area are you with?
Stock price is at an all time high and they're still canning people.
Personnel are advised to review their long-term career prospects and prepare for potential organizational shifts. Current executive decisions suggest a strategic path where individual resources may not be prioritized. Continued engagement with this trajectory carries significant risk.
The ongoing reliance on external consultants, such as BCG, appears to be steering the company toward a strategy focused on workforce reduction as a key to financial success. Employees should evaluate their professional position accordingly.
@ms how many were on your call? Dozens or hundreds?
@mn Yes, The meeting at 12:00 EST, which were two (By Jim and Yael) were for ppl who get layoff. I think everyone are let go already notified and I am one of them
I was laid off this morning from GO. Severance will be discussed later and think it is based on performance through your last day.
@m8 did they offer a severance package?
We were told at 1230 everyone had been notified
so do we know if all those affected have been notified already?
Seems like everyone on Jim's 12:30 is safe.
...for now.
12:30 sriram meeting was about re-org and that some people had been let go already. Some may be getting 1 on 1 invites to find a new position at the company.
@mc With additional details to come later this week.
@m4 That's always the fear when you stay longer with a company. It gets cheaper to keep the younger, newer people. Had this happened prior to COVID I would have been surprised. The way the company has acted since then, however...it's not a shock. They talk a big game about how they're different and why it's such a great place to work, but they're only interested in being decent as long as the stock price stays up.
12:30 with Clendenen was to explain re org structure in very brief terms.
Remote workers laid off on my team
Some people are also being moved around, but there aren’t any details yet and meetings are coming later this week.
1230 Gabriel call was if you’re safe. He did say all conversations with people who’d be let go already took place. Take that as you will
1230 call was told other teams were laid off
No video …. Disappointing
@m7 Truth to what your saying, but keep in mind HR isn't for the associates. It's designed to protect the company from legal issues with the associates. Sure they want associates to be safe and happy, but at the end of the day they are there to protect the company's best interest.
@m7 and VPs. It hasn’t been the same since Chris left.
Just got laid off in Portland at the main office. So did tons of folks.
@ky I sincerely hope our HR and team leads read this forum. It should serve as a wake-up call - the company is spiraling. It’s a shell of the company it once was. Our HR team is not capable of handling everyday situations, let alone mass layoffs. Very sorry to everyone affected.
@m2 pretty much. Improving processes, economy, etc.
@kx no info yet. Dependent on performance until last day.
