Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

More cuts are inevitable

I'm not sure of the exact timing, but I am sure that there will be several more layoffs before the year is over. It's just a matter of when.

They’ve been doing “inevitable” cuts annually since the John chamber days.

It's been more that 25 years since Chambers dumped 13,000 out of 48,000 employees and contractors, and the frequency of layoffs for many years was more like quarterly.

And just to make the LR more satisfying for the leaders, they’ll cut the very people who earn certifications, actively use AI, and give copious, high-quality feedback on their work. The more they hurt people the more powerful they feel and it gives them a sense of accomplishment.

And your confidence is based on what?
The stock stanilized at the current level and it is not signaling (like it usually does) that layoffs are comming.
