The layoffs were justified by the “lack of work”. It’s not clear to me now, because I didn’t get laid off, but I did get enough work for one more person.

Has anyone heard anything about layoffs caused by Honeywell laying off workers in the near future? They just ended a "voluntary" layoff period and now will start with the "involuntary" layoff actions.

Do you know there is a plan to grow headcount, how many employees currently work here? How about the HQ at Toronto?

The 1st round layoff is from Celestica Suzhou(China), Mexico and Canada, the next round is the Celestica Dongguan(China), Malaysia, and GBS(purchasing). This was posted in an old thread, but it's new info. I was wondering if anybody knew if this was... — read more 

I want to let you know that people are anxious and tense as they expect layoffs in corporate in Toronto.

Now folks are saying that Celestica may have layoffs again, but we'll see...

Last year all was good, now all of the sudden, people are complaining and there are rumors about layoffs Toronto.

Is RIM debacle affecting you?

Celestica is not a simple story - I can tell you right now that some departments are doing better than others. I think our sales effort could be better.
