Some very senior managers laid off and are now looking for work as "engineers." Damn, those id--ts don't know the first thing about engineering. They've been milking the system for years. Best of luck finding a job, I suggest applying at McDonald's. Actually, lets not insult MacDonald's.

Layoffs in Dallas. Engineering hit
There was a layoff in the Dallas office today. Not sure how many were affected or if more offices outside of Dallas were affected. Anyone hear anything else on this?
Devs are sc--wed too
working overtime was a problem before private equity takeover.
But now it is a bigger problem. Without QEs, developer has to do job of two people in same timeframe while maintaining "high quality". This is a death knell because escalated issue, due to management incompetence, has to be fixed by overworked developers :-(
IT Staff System Engineer cuts coming
Heard in a meeting today GM is looking to reduce costs more. From what was discussed, it looks like they are going to start trimming near the top of the tree.
I guess the so called bottom 15% wasn’t enough.
They will probably just blame it on the excessive Tariff costs.

Engineering Org Layoffs?
Now that it's January anyone have any updates on layoffs in the software engineering org in El Segundo?
I only regret ever working for General Motors.
