Happy New Year to present and former Suncor employees. I, for one, had no idea what was in store for the year 2023. Not Freddie and certainly not losing my job. Here is hoping 2024 will bring us health and happiness.

Do you think there may be small/medium/large Suncor Energy layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Has anyone else who was layed-off by Suncor been contacted requesting a reimbursement? HR claims that the employer portion of contribution to ER Savings was made in error and they want it back.

So in my former department, Suncor made the decision to cut worker-bees. What is left is a GM, Director, Manager, and four Contributors. In this case the Butcher threw away the meat but kept the fat. Winning !!

The new organization charts are out. In my department we now have a GM with three reports. One of which is a Director with two. The other is a Manager with one. Third guy has none. Fortunately I still have a job as a contributor.
