Employee Awareness & Stock Price

More Schwab employees need to be made aware of this site! Spread the word! Schwab stock is up around 57% since layoffs. That’s all they care about. They don’t care about any of you!

This TG group su-ks

Everyone has been so damn rude. Like I’m just trying to help you the best I can. Why are you screaming at me for something like the color of the website?

Termination procedures

I see a few posts by people who resigned… What was your experience? What determines if the notice period ends right away or if you stay for the term? (Is the different for rto vs full remote employees) What obligations do you have to say if you a... — read more

The wrong leaders are stepping aside

Peter Crawford, Bernie Clark and Joe Martinetto have been the heart and soul of Schwab's success for many years. They have tried to counterbalance the ruthless, machiavellian Walt, Rick and Jonathan, through the last few years. It's not surprising... — read more

Is it rumor or True?

Was having a water cooler conversation with one of the director. Is the team working on bamboo and bitbucket migration getting hit? or they are getting replaced in coming quarter, I mean both Vendor and FTE. Again just a rumor can someone confirm? — read more

And Then There Were None

Not enough people left for big layoffs so of course the many small "baby" layoffs will have to do. Schwab has been callously laying off left and right with no regards to who will be unlocking the front door in the morning or closing up at night. The... — read more

June Layoffs

When the May TG is one and done, a lot of people will be superfluous. Where will the cuts be the deepest?

If you are impacted by Layoff and reason is H1B

If you’re an American STEM worker outraged by this proposed rule change, you can leave comments by clicking on the link below. Our recommendation is to write a couple of paragraphs (based on your actual life experiences) on why this rule will harm... — read more

Engagement Survey Results

Did everyone see the spin that they tried to put on the poor engagement surveys? What a joke! We went from a 76 to a 79 which means we are improving everyone yay!!! Rather than addressing anything or going over the improvements they are going to make... — read more

Is it just me?

STS announces that post TG we will have a baby layoff. You know, so long and thanks for all the fish. I’m tired of saying it’s business as if that makes it ok. Walt has been on LinkedIn congratulating new hires and transitioning interns. That’s... — read more

This world of recruiters

Many of us don't have experience looking for jobs.. recruiters found me but now recruiters are basically scam callers. It's a different lifestyle.. recruiters would take me and colleagues out to lunch, now they call from scam-aware numbers and hang... — read more

Corporate Update on RTO and Layoffs

They said there are no conversations on changing RTO and layoffs. On RTO, they are spaced constrained in Orlando and would like to find more space to have those people who want to come in to be able to come into the office. Layoffs, they have taken... — read more

Schwab has a new way of getting rid of people

No cuts necessary, they've figured out they can get folks to leave on their own if they bring micromanaging up a few notches and constantly provide negative feedback. Most of the people who know how to do their jobs are not putting up with this, with... — read more

We are human beings, not human doings

Simply, we are intended to “be” not “do.” Never forget the value of being present and in the moment. There will always be plenty to do, but there is only one now. Be in the now

To “Friends” & Colleagues of The Laid off

To all of you so called “friends” and colleagues who know people who were laid off and are to scared for your jobs or self-absorbed to respond to emails or LinkedIn messages and haven’t even reached out to be supportive…just remember this could and... — read more

This company is a toxic dumpster fire

I've been full-time remote now for 6 years. Well before the pandemic. I just got denied my exception. I was hired as a telecommuter. I live nowhere near a service center. Schwab is trying to find a seat for me in a city over 700 miles away. A city... — read more

Summer layoff chatter.

Anyone else hearing chatter about summer layoffs? Words is attrition isn’t high enough (for example, we have a CEO and a President…) and we will see reductions of lower performers in June or July.

100% Exception Request Denial Rate

Just had a conversation with my manager where I was told point blank that 100% of all exception requests would be denied for my entire business unit. I asked a couple follow ups: What is the rationale for a complete denial? Why even offer... — read more

Schwab Over-advertising

As someone who was let go last October, it is pretty disappointing to see the huge increase in Schwab advertising across all types of programming (news, sports, including most recently the NBA playoffs). You would think they would measure this a bit... — read more

Retention Bonus

Anyone know if they did a retention bonus like they did the last 2 years for staying through tax season?

Is something going on in Tools Team again?

I heard a rumor there would be a silent shake over in the tools team. Teams which are going to be hit are probably CI/CD, Support, center teams. Probably more shakeup coming from the vendor's idea. Anyone having any idea

Through Client's Eyes

Why isn't this the top criteria for leaders at Schwab?. So many of them don't give a sh*t about clients unless it's their team that gets the credit. If clients only knew, they would move their money somewhere else

I’m not a poet and my mama knows it

Corp Culture

Corp Culture - My two cents on the topic, a lot of places are just full of people who always agree with everything. If you try to be different or disagree, they pretty much try to push you out. Schwab does have some cool leaders, but they’re too... — read more

No tax refund

Anyone else who came from the TD side not get a refund this year? I’ve had one pretty much every year (I fine a pretty simple return) but this year since moving to Schwab I had to pay. Does Schwab traditionally not hold enough?
