Can someone please share the terms of the latest LR packages? Looking to understand how many months pay / year of service, how long health care runs for, what happens to RSU's etc.

LR in August/November 2026?
Have you heard any news/rumor?
When and who will make the list this time? VP+?
LR and outside jobs
I have a question for any recently laid off Cisco employees regarding taking a position within the first sixty days after notification. I’m hearing rumors that if you accept a position outside of Cisco within the sixty day window that it’s classified as resignation and the severance package is forfeited. Is this true? Nothing I’m reading within the paperwork I’m expected to sign seems that that is the case, but I’m just checking with those who have been through this process before.
Age targeted
Does anyone know of a ki-ler lawyer in austin, tx area to take on age targeted LR cases in latest layoffs?
What is the LR Package for Australia?
It seems a lot of people were affected in Australia last week after the Q3 call. This was decided maybe in the weeks before that.
Groups with more than one LR
If there were multiple people impacted in the group there is a high probability that more will be targeted in August. We lost three good members and more than likely this group and will be impacted soon. MIGs.
Csco>$115+LR=DUH
Aren't you glad you stayed, to see stock soar; and now get LR'd
Enjoy!
Raise and LR
I assume it's uncommon to get a raise/promo immediately followed by an LR... On the other hand, aren't these separate decisions often made by different people?
US Commercial LRs
Any update on how bad the LRs will be.
Tussle between Managers and Directors - who gets on LR list, come May 14
Too much fluff for roles that don’t directly add to revenue generated and the bottom line, and hence must be cut.
Comment if your manager is worth saving, and why?
AI and DMM costs to be blamed for LR
Senior Leader claims AI innovation and DMM costs to be blamed for LR.
Thoughts? Are others hearing these claims?
30 percent LR coming
Senior Exec told me to look for role…
Anyone else hearing this?
LR start from May 13
J2 confirmed
Another beat down invite
To talk about the aftermath of the upcoming LR?
LRs are afoot
Already started
LR meetings scheduled today and tomorrow - please comment what you know
Cisco stopped calling out LRs but these are happening. Splunk, security and CX are targets with negative growth, and AI doing more of their work. Please comment as you know these actions this week.
Cisco Layoffs confirmed
Just got off call about LR's. We each got a list of people affected in our respective teams, pretty much informed that we have to break the ice with each person affected. So yes, February layoffs are unfortunately confirmed.
SBG LRs
Get ready mates, this one is going to be very bad the big one. If you are in SBG I would be very worried.
Serious question, bonuses
Not sure if serious questions are allowed anymore here but here goes. If you leave (resign or LR, doesn't matter) and are entitled to the bonus but it doesn't pay out until several weeks after you leave, does it come via direct deposit or via mailed check?
Thanks.

Valuable employees at high risk of LR
Big disconnect between Cisco's public statements to the financial community—that the company is "rightsizing efficiently" to optimize performance and the observed outcomes of the LR process. HR is non-existent - they don't care about preservation of talent and institutional knowledge. I feel an increasingly toxic culture and diminished trust in leadership.
Please LR my colleagues
I want a few of my colleagues to be laid off. I rather see them suffer and unemployed than me
New WTO in the second half?
I started to hear rumors that an LR is in the works for 2HFY26. With the government shutdown, bookings could be soft. If there is a smoke, there is fire somewhere.
Say you are being LRed. Can you contest the decision and show that your manager wanted you gone?
Say you had a dispute with him. He was clearly at fault and tried to hide it. Now he wants you gone and he made it happen. Right after being informed that you have to go, can you appeal the decision by let's say contact everybody you can above his rank and on his reporting hierarchy to explain the situation ? That would be during the notice period.
One Year Later: From Layoff to Lift Off
Exactly one year ago today, I, along with many others was informed about our LRs. It was a surreal and chaotic day. People were pulled into abrupt call with leadership, only to hear a cold, unapologetic monologue. No closure. No empathy. Just a hard stop.
That moment marked the beginning of one of the most challenging phases of my life. Self-doubt crept in, overshadowing every achievement I had worked so hard for. It felt like the ground had shifted beneath me.
But here’s the truth, it wasn’t the end. With God's grace, relentless effort, and the support of those who stood by me, I can proudly say I’m in a much better place today personally and professionally.
To anyone who’s recently been LR’ed, this is not the end of your story. It’s a painful chapter, yes, but also a powerful turning point. Believe that better things await, as long as you're willing to explore, learn, and grow.
Keep exploring. Keep believing. Never give up.
Cheers to resilience, reinvention, and rising stronger.
Does this mean LRs every 6Mo from now on?
BTW,when is the next one?

Oracle cuts more than 3K jobs globally without public comment
Source below...
Oracle has quietly eliminated more than 3K jobs across the US, India, the Philippines, and Canada, marking one of the largest workforce reductions in its recent history. The cuts took place between August and September 2025, but the company has made no public announcement. Instead, the layoffs were revealed through legally required WARN filings in the United States and similar notices abroad.
The timeline
- August 13, 2025: Bloomberg reported that Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure teams were hit first. No company statement was released.
- September 2, 2025: WARN filings in Washington State showed 101 layoffs effective November 3, 2025. Kansas City operations were also affected.
- September 3, 2025: California filings revealed 254 jobs cut across three sites, including 187 in Redwood City.
- September 4-5, 2025: Another 101 layoffs in Seattle were disclosed.
- Ongoing through September: More reductions followed in India, the Philippines, Canada, and Europe, often announced through “business update” meetings.
Where the layoffs happened
- United States: 262 jobs in Seattle, 254 in California, plus additional cuts in Kansas City, targeting former Cerner employees.
- India: Around 10% of Oracle’s workforce, or 2,800 to 3,000 staff, lost jobs across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Noida, and Kolkata.
- Philippines: Entire teams in Advanced Customer Services and the NetSuite Global Business Unit were eliminated.
Who was affected
- Oracle Health (formerly Cerner): Consulting, implementation, and care delivery roles took the hardest hit. Kansas City has now lost more than 5,000 Oracle jobs since the $28.3 billion Cerner acquisition in 2022.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Cuts hit Enterprise Engineering, Fusion ERP, data center technicians, and even AI/ML project managers. This came as Oracle announced major AI investments.
Why it happened
The layoffs came just weeks after CEO Larry Ellison met with President Trump and unveiled a $30 billion AI infrastructure deal with OpenAI. Despite strong financial results—$57.4 billion in revenue for fiscal 2024, up 8% year-over-year—Oracle is cutting traditional roles to fund AI expansion.
These are not recession-driven cuts, but deliberate restructuring aimed at shifting resources toward artificial intelligence.
The human impact
Oracle has remained silent publicly, leaving WARN filings and brief internal meetings as the only communication. Many long-serving employees, some with over 20 years at the company, were informed of their termination during short virtual meetings.
One employee shared on LinkedIn that the layoffs highlight a growing reality: companies will eliminate jobs to fund AI, even when profits are strong. Experience and loyalty no longer guarantee security.

For the record, we are literally laying off people in all departments.
Just see the messages on this site, there is literally no place to hide.
How to LR
I am writing this as a longtime Cisco employee. I am an individual contributor and have been for almost 20 years. I like Cisco, I like most of my managers and colleagues (not all, of course but that is true anywhere)
Am I worried about getting LR'd? A little but since I put this plan into place several years ago I am not worried about finances. Not one bit.
You can't change the wind but you can change the set of your sails. The most important of which are your financial decisions. Strive for financial independence now. It is not too late. jump to end for TL/DR version:
- shift to maximum frugality.
This is not the "latte factor" where your $4 coffee will change your life but rather an entire philosophical shift. Embrace frugality as a desirable and enjoyable lifestyle (it is). Focus on both the small rocks (the daily expenses like coffee, doordash and money su-kers). not to sound s-xist but money su-kers are typically gender aligned. Women spend a lot on nail care, beauty and the like. Men spend a lot on autos, gadgetry and beer. obviously stereotypical but you get the point.
Eliminate, DIY or change the frequency. Big Rocks.
Housing, Healthcare, Transportation, Insurance & Education are typically the most expensive components. Start here. Be relentless. remember that New car smell is the most expensive fragrance in the world and no one really cares about what kind of car you drive anyway (except for you) get a reliable, safe used vehicle. strive to pay cash for a car as it will force you to save & research. Same concept applies with the other big rocks. The amount you spend on where you sleep at night and keep your stuff should be minimal. This is true whether you rent or own, strive to own a decent home in a good neighborhood.Max out your 401K, open a Roth and build a freedom fund.
What to do with all the money you save? Buy a boat? (no!)
First, build a cash cushion of at least 6 months of expenses, the good news is that the more you relentlessly drive down your expenditures, the lower this amount needs to be. Put this in a Money Market (many are yielding 4+ %
Then, Max out your tex deferred retirment account. the target date funds are a great one-fund set it and forget it option. you could balance that with a 100% stock fund (US Equity Index) say 50/50 so you are tilted toward more growth, especially if you are young. There are 1,000 asset allocation strategies you will be bombarded with, this is a good middle of the road, reasonable, strategy. It is way more important to get started and be consistent (autpilot) than to get all the knobs perfectly right. Most people do way more damage that way, especially you smart ones. (Doctors are notoriously bad investors because they think they are smarter than everyone else)
also start a Roth IRA and fund it as well (Roth is post-tax but has significant advantages)The best things in life are free.
National Parks, Conversations with Friends, gardening, reading a used book (the paper kind) long walks with the person you love most. Do the rocking chair test; imagine you are 80, sitting on the porch in your rocking chair and ask yourself what you would have done differently back then. I guarantee the make/model of car will not enter your mind even once.
TL/DR
Reduce expenses relentlessly, start with the big rocks.
embrace a mindset of "frugal is wonderful" because it leads to financial independence.
MAx out retirement funds (401k/IRA/Roth IRA) with a simple set and forget it Asset Allocation
100% Target Date Fund (based on your retirement year) or 50% Target Date Fund + 50% US Equity Index if you are more risk averse.
Build a 6 month war chest full of cash
Any Lower-Mid Manager Affected?
There was a lot of hype here about how the entire mid-management layers would be obliterated in this recent LR. Some of us expressed disbelief . Like clockwork, I don’t see any evidence of that at least in tech presales. Our total waste-of-space managers in the U.K. market are swaggering around with big smiles on their faces. So much for the rumour mongering.
So Many Leaving
Why are so many leaving. Are these silent LRs
Why Cisco not announced layoff after 8/13
It is because a big headcount cut will happen and will be announced around November 12, minimum 10k employees will be impacted.
LR'd and looking?
Go to WWW.Jobs.now or www.jobvertise.com.
I wish you all the best of luck.
Former Cisconian LR'd from a different place this time around and looking.

LR Package
is it effective immediately? Or you get 2 months? 3-4 months severance?
If you could share your BU and location
Is it worth getting a lawyer?
