More layoffs coming for non revenue producing BUs

Word has it as NetApp is preparing that all non producing business units will be slashed and reduced (layoffs). Management has brought in consultants who has told them they are either making money for the company or are consuming resources and... — read more

NetApp stock price going up, >130 USD per share

The good news is that NetApp stock price is going up, north of 130 per share. One of GK's key metrics is to increase stockholder value. Unfortunately, the company is having to make decisions that impact most employees significantly.

Manages check your merit and ICP

HR is at it again. I distributed my allotted budget for merit and ICP to my team. It was approved through my management team and without notice, someone from HR went in and knocked everyone down significantly. ICP was also dropped by thousands per... — read more

It is inevitable.

George Shaheen, longest tenured NTAP director sold his entire stake on June 10 out of the blue with no 10b5-1 (he doesn't have history of dumping entire stakes and he did it the day before investor day where NTAP introduced 3 year growth and profit... — read more

What’s next? Doubled workload and a lot of chaos

I’m almost sorry for all of us who are still here (for now). We have to pick up work for all the people who are gone. Many peeps who were let go are not easily replaceable. They will take on new people who we will need to train endlessly and not be... — read more

Time to leave NetApp in the Rearview

I have worked here for a few years. Over the last year and a half we have been under an on and off hiring freeze. Had budget cuts/layoffs happen out of the blue. Meanwhile the CEO and big wigs are sending out emails praising the company and bragging... — read more

Morale down?

why boast about a record setting Q4/FY24, to mention no raises/promotions/budgets, and then hit us with layoffs? What do u think this does to company morale. Work hard to get laidoff next week? Colleagues are very frustrated. This will not turn out... — read more

DEI

If you are wondering how someone seemingly unqualified got their job and if it was the DEI quota program, I suggest you take a look at their LinkedIn profile. Over the years, leadership has coached DEI hires to remove work history that suggests they... — read more

Easter Holiday in the US

Has NetApp ever observed Easter as a holiday in the US? It was weird to me that they don’t but do in other countries.

What's with Pure CEO and his funny hat?

Why is it that I see Pure CEO everywhere with his funny hat? Does he think it's the 1920s or something, "and how do you do, what do you hear, what do you say?"

So what you are getting laid off..

I was laid off 6 months ago. Got a nice severance and found a new job with the same salary working remote. Didn't lose a beat. Heads up, get your CV ready if NA doesn't want you there is a company that does and will appreciate your hard work and... — read more

Don't fall for leadership's bait

Layoffs are a costly operation for the company and C-level leadership knows it. They are gambling on folks leaving by their own choice due to RTO. It's really a win-win for them: they get to justify their costly real estate expenditures to... — read more

Something big is coming ..

Sorry If I turn out to be wrong. I think there is a layoff round the corner. Leadership in my org looks extra grumpy these days. Nit picking silly mistakes and making a big deal about them.

Employees are heavily overworked and underpaid

Work-life balance doesn't exist. We've been understaffed for over a year, so I spend more time working than I do with my family, and it really shouldn't be that way. I'm assuming that is true throughout the company because everyone I talk to seems to... — read more

What's up with SPOT?

So i just saw on linked that Kevin is leaving SPOT, and I noticed a bunch of branding changes removing SPOT from logos... wtf? I may have missed an email (checks spam folder). If SPOT gets 'disappeared' what about the rest of the public cloud stuff? — read more

Thoughts on RTO?

Will the new RTO policy make you start looking for a job elsewhere or are you just gonna deal with it?

Layoffs confirmed yesterday (1/17)

Many people were laid off yesterday, including myself and many people I know at NetApp. (Retained) managers I spoke to said they were told at the last minute who was going and were not involved in the decisions and did not know it was coming. Some... — read more

They won't need layoffs

They've already announced return to office. Lots of people will probably quit as a result. So layoffs for the sake of cutting work force won't likely be necessary.
