Any news on RIFs for this week, 3/12....?

So its bad enough we’re losing staff to false performance ratings and India but now we’re going to lose them for imaginary employees. BNY is a joke and everyone needs to get out of banking. All these id--ts are copying each other with RV think BNY is going to lead automation . Yeah ok buddy. First you have to update the dinosaur systems you forced us to use

I despise coming in 4 days a week. I get to wake up 1.5 hours early and drive for an hour, for what? I get to fake social interaction with distant department members who don't want to be here just like me. I get to spend $20 on parking. I get to spend immeasurable amounts of money maintaining a sh---y professional wardrobe that doesn't get used outside of work.
What benefit does anyone gain from this besides BNY having an excuse to lay some people off?

Before the shill bots come out of the woodwork, prior to COVID, my team was 2 days a week. There's no RTO, it's just increased. I'm not returning to anything.

3 days a week wasn't bad, I'd at least have Friday at home to look forward to, but now to get that I have to ruin my evening on Sunday by dreading going in on Monday. My life has been remarkably more miserable since 4 days started.

WFA days would be a brief reprieve when it got particularly bad on occasion, but they ruined those too.

I don't really know the purpose of this post besides to vent.

Has the Q1 round of layoffs wrapped up? Are we expecting another round at the end of Q2? What’s the full-year target for layoffs, and how many have already been cut so far? I only saw media mention 1,000 in January, but no numbers for March or the rest of the year. Any clarity?

I think we can safely say that we now know exactly as much about more layoffs as we did before the earnings. Yes, we have some numbers, and we know some changes are coming, but when it comes to when, where, and how many, we're still in the same exact position. Great.

Anyone know if the JE calendar was updated for the rest of the year? I heard there was something in April? If IT is really moving toward a 70/30 HIH/US split, it seems like there will be quite a few more JEs coming up. Low key hoping I get the axe 😬
