Providence Health System (Renton, WA) lays off 700 in accounting, accounts payable, human resources, procurement, payroll, and IT.

Last week Providence laid off additional workers and in the California area the EVP/Regional CE has hired an outside consulting firm to consolidate LA & Orange Counties which will likely lead to additional reductions in staff.

Layoffs started last week - 210 are announced, but that seems to be just for now. Providence is planning to continue to cut costs, which we all know means more layoffs. Good luck all!... — read more
