Legacy Ansys, anyone got a pay raise?
No equity refresh this year for me. Base increased measley 2%. CIP 9%. I'm furious right now. A damn pay cut for more work due to lost colleagues. I miss them so much...Trying to get out of this shithole mass applying

Q for mgrs
Managers, were you actually blindsided or is that just the line?
If your team survived March, how much work got dumped on you?
What impacts do you see?
Forget "full potential"
I used to stay late learning new skills. Used to take on extra projects to grow. Then I watched three people who did exactly that get laid off anyway. Now my full potential is doing my job well enough to not get noticed, because getting noticed here... — read more
How many skip managers do you have?
I’ve been in R&D long enough to think I’d seen every organizational oddity, but lately I look at my reporting chain and just… sigh. I’m a Principal Engineer, the most technical person on my team, and yet there are seven layers of management between... — read more

Wondering how individuals were picked for the RIF list
Has any else heard those skip-managers saying that they pretended that they aren't aware of names before the RIF event. How can someone in HR completely segmented from the department in a large company make decisions about the individuals in their... — read more
Ansys France R&D Engineers Are Let Go
What is happening right now is not just a restructuring on paper. It is something people are living through every day, with stress, sadness, confusion, and a growing sense of injustice. Many of the engineers being impacted are not low performers... — read more
Estimate the time for the next cut
Recently, I interviewed with a company and reached the final round. They asked when I could start the job; they seem quite flexible. My strategy is to ideally be laid off in the next round and then join this company to maximize my gains. Does anyone... — read more
Why do same concepts keep getting reintroduced with different names?
Every time, it’s presented like something new but in reality, not much is actually changing. This is what you get when wrong people who know little about the actual work get into leadership positions. Then we pay for it with our jobs.
Bare minimum until the next big round
That's my plan. Why push yourself? Hard work gets you one of two things: a raise that doesn't even match inflation, or a spot on the layoff list.
What’s your reaction to your compensation being downgraded?
While I have no control over management decisions, I do have control over my own actions. My response is straightforward: if my compensation is reduced, my productivity will decrease at the same proportional rate.
Fortune 100 Best….

Are you seeing the same level of employee retention, respect or overall job satisfaction???
I'm not seeing the same level of employee retention, respect or overall job satisfaction moving forward after the post-merger with SNPS. The other sad truth was the latest RIF targeted folks that had been with Ansys for 10 plus years marking them... — read more
Paid for performance is a joke
Came from Ansys. I thought Ansys TC was pretty sh---y but now I understand that Synopsys is even worse. As a manager, I participated some compensation planning and was shocked. Tell you what. RSU is bad. Very bad. Many positions above L4 are... — read more

A complete massacre at Ansys France
The layoff plan was finalised in France and it’s a massacre that targets mostly engineers and surprisingly not too many corporate functions. Even products that are supposedly in priority has not been spared and people with domain knowledge have been... — read more
Hope you're hungry for nothing
The budgets are in. Salary increases are unimpressive. RSU allotments are a complete joke. Don't worry, though, the least inspiring CEO of all time is getting paid plenty for his tip-top layoff skills.
Layoffs are far from our only issue
The direction here changes every few months, so how are you supposed to feel confident about anything long term? Teams keep starting initiatives that never go anywhere before the next priority shift. That lack of consistency is ki-ling morale more... — read more

When are layoffs happening in Germany?
To my knowledge no employees were laid off in Germany on the Ansys side due to the work council. Any news on when this is going to happen? Any news on how close they are to an agreement?
Always the same thing
Every layoff targets the skilled workers who keep things running, and somehow the managers who do nothing but attend meetings never seem to get touched. No wonder our performance keeps sliding.

This is no way to live
Layoffs are not even properly over and I'm already thinking about the next round. I can't even relax for a single day because things have been for so long that this is now the norm. We don't hate this company enough.
Is 2026 March round finished?
We are all sad to see our brilliant coworkers leave this week in the US and around the globe. Is this round finished? If so, when will be the next round? We all need to get prepared for the next impact now.

The first TPG All Hands question was straight up ballsy. Too bad, Shanky gave a non-answer "EQ-IQ-EQ-IQ".
