Yes!! Emotionally fragile bullies, that says it all. Directors and Leads hired for their ability to be obsequious and completely lacking in intelligence and skill. With no ability to absorb any of the content in the senior level meetings they sit on, therefore anything passed along to their teams is garbled and incorrect with the result most projects and workflow are in major shambles. #the-usaa-way

May 2023 - second round of downsizing this year !
After Q1 layoffs, another round has hit again in Q2.
# It appears approx 100 full time employees have been impacted this time.
#The number of contract employees impacted is not communicated and afraid that could be much bigger number.
# many of the technology operations are now outsourced to an offshore vendor under the pretence of "efficiency and simplification".
#Layoffs are becoming more like a monthly ritual now. Management has no clue what they are doing.
#Shutterfly is buying individual operating companies (different brands like lifetouch, Snapfish, spoonflower ) and merging them with shuttefly. After an year the management comes out saying they are not getting the growth they expect ??!!!
Atleast those companies would have been better if they had been left alone 🤔
I wouldn't say employee resentment is high - most people couldn't care less or are only minorly troubled about the additional commute/desk situation.
A common struggle we face as a company (and a nation) is correlating the majority with the vocal minority complaining about everything. Yes, a few whiney dweebs sound off on everything in the #the-weekend slack channel. No, they don't represent all of us. Most people have so much going on in their lives and work that they don't have time to worry about the small stuff. The ones that do have time to complain about this kind of stuff are the ones that probably aren't doing much and should be fired anyway.
I hope that helps.
I think it's a nice gesture. Otherwise people would complain that senior leaders don't listen or address big questions. I don't get as much value because most of the questions people ask tend to suck.
A few examples:
- Why can't you hear the cries of my marginalized group? (someone having a crisis because they see their legal name in some legacy system)
- What's the deal with parking? (I know this matters to some people, but this is on a long list of boring questions we waste C-level leader time with. Maybe ask the security guard in the tower, that seems more appropriate)
- What's up with our toxic work culture (or some other one- or two-sentence mud someone is lazily trying to get stick to the wall).
If you're looking for value, may I suggest skipping the meeting and watching the blowhards and snowflakes in #the-weekend slack commit career su----e by obnoxiously dissing senior leaders and generally complaining about some answer they didn't like?
On a good week, you may even see a vague threat (always from junior employees) that they'll quit... or everyone will go to Meta or something (lol). The outrage topic changes every month or so. Earlier in the year it was funding travel for out-of-state abortions, now it's NM ignoring trans health or something.
#The answering company - once upon a time
Was this a joke! A workplace that having no answers for himself. Feel like exclusion or a 'being' liabilities for disposal. Somehow the answers keep us occupied are from bbc news and thelayoffs.com. #frustrefinian

Hey buddy, you seem more like a company zombie.
Strike or no strike this not the unions or the workers fault since 2013.
LOOK AND SEE.
#The CBA is still in effect and Spectrum cannot change anything without compromising with an agreement with the union
#They resort to be on strike because Spectrum refuses to bargain in good faith since 2013.
#Without the union Spectrum would have changed everything the employees had and they would be getting far less benefits and coverage.
#So who's looking out for employees interest. Is it the company or the union buddy.
I know you would spread and lay down for a nickel from any company you carpet bagger.
