Overtime will break me

And it’s all mgmt’s fault. There are ways to organize the workload so we don’t repeatedly fall into a frenzied state. Clearly, they’ve never heard of them.

Go to HR

A lot of the posts on here need to be brought to the attention of Employee Relations. I know a lot of people are hesitant to call HR when something comes up, but there are a lot of things with the Covid favoritism that could land Fido with a lawsuit... — read more

VBO Not Happening

I don't think the VBO is happening. A person who would definitely know if a VBO was in the works retired in the recent past (deliberately nonspecific timeline disclosure). If a VBO was coming, this person would have definitely stayed around. No... — read more

A shift in culture

New associates are favored

Anyone notice how it seems that people who are at the 3 year mark of their time at the firm, are moving faster? Not sure if this is why people leave companies after 6-7 years… but new employees seem to be promoted faster and get picked for better... — read more

Bring VBO

Fidelity should consider announcing a Voluntary Buyout Offer (VBO) across all geographies. There are numerous individuals with over 20 years of tenure in leadership roles who contribute little to no value. It's time to phase out these long-standing... — read more

Bonus Moved Back A Week???

Never has the bonus been paid during a normal payroll cycle week. Extra week of interest accrued to help pay for the VRBO? Zero hikes same thing. Weird things like this, I recall, also preceded prior VBOs. Amirite?

Punitive bonus?

Anyone else get penalized at YE for having expressed an interest in new opportunities? So much for ‘vitality’…

Zero hike

How many of you got 0% hikes?. Couple of my colleagues in Boston got 0% hikes , Is this normal?

Soft Layoffs begin at Fidelity Investments

After a record margin year, Fidelity gives 0 bonuses, 0 increments and 0 shares to many associates, even the ones rated as Exceptional. I wonder what drives this decision this year. The brunt is felt more with the ET guys. Whats with other BUs?

Thanksgiving blues

Here I am on thanksgiving listening to friends and family talk about how happy they in life and at work… just thinking about how many seconds of freedom I have before turning myself back into the loony bin back in the office.

Optimal time to leave Fidelity?

A few months to my fourth year anniversary and thinking of leaving. Is the 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 100% vesting schedule rolling or not? Say if I wait after 5th year of service do I get all or just one year's profit sharing vested 100%? Thanks.
