Pretty anemic raise

My raise this year was pretty anemic. Well below COLA of even Social Security recipients. Couple that with the far lower AIP, and, well... this su-ks. However, I keep my finger on the pulse of the job market (on Reddit) and pretty universally people... — read more

Relocating Headquarters: is it time?

What are your thoughts on relocating HQ out of the Midwest? Will it take care of the deadweights ? The theory is that most of them won’t want to move and the positions can be filled with new blood from the outside. Thoughts?

No AIP for Professional 1’s and Below

The company is ending AIP for associates at the Professional 1 level and below. (anyone with a 4% AIP target). They’ll get a higher base pay increase instead. This takes effect for the 2024 AIP cycle that pays out in March 2025.

It’s only about profit

Welcome to capitalism. People get confused that these public corporations are in it for anyone but the wealthy shareholder conglomerates and C-suite execs (who are also wealthy shareholders for stock options.) The law is executives have to... — read more

Benefits during severance

How do benefits work with a RIF? Are you able to keep benefits while collecting severance or do they stop at end of 60 day notice? Is severance paid biweekly or lump sum? Are you able to collect unemployment while getting severance?

Raises?

I'm fortunate, I'm unlikely to be laid off. However, after such a disappointing AIP, does anyone have any inside information on what raises look like? The cost of living has skyrocketed, I'm hoping raises will at least make a /dent/ in keeping us... — read more

Experience with being noticed

I was impacted by the RIF in IT on January 10th. My last day at Humana is March 11th. I received a meeting invite from the VP of our department titled “Quick Touchbase” on a random Wednesday around noon. I’ve never spoken to the VP, so the meeting... — read more

Move to snp

Anyone heard how many nurses are needed to move to SNP this round and when we would hear if chosen? Wish they would give us updates!

Layoffs happen, I can deal with that

It's more important how the company treats its employees while they're working there. And that's where Humana has been failing in every possible way. The toxic work environment, the lack of respect, and the constant bullying are just some of the... — read more

W2 Severence Error?

Humana only took out 272.72 federal taxes on my almost 40K severence pay in 2023.. I feel like this is an error as I asked specifically that Taxes be taken out. Now I owe the IRS an unreasonable amount.. Anyone else seeing this? Just another way... — read more

Twitter cut 75% of its staff and still runs great. Can we trim cut 40% and carry on just fine? There’s just too much deadweight IMO, do you agree?

Bruce says it’s a short term problem

Bruce sent an email reassuring us this is just a short term problem. It’s not a short term problem for the people you are laying off, Bruce, due to poor foresight and leadership. Matter of fact, it’s a very long term problem for a whole lot of people... — read more

Q4 ER is really bad
