Not That Good For Many In Their 50's

The package is not that attractive to many of us in our 50's. We are not that close to retirement age but too old to find a job with a good salary. Many in my office share my view. While staying will also mean risks, most people I talk to see it as a... — read more

Ride it out or Run??? Serious Question

52 with 22 yrs...Got the sev offer too...Whaddya think? I have no idea what they're up to here. Network job. Kept up outside schooling and training. Recent degree and college certs in field. Love the job and coworkers but conflicted...Arggghhhh

Changing Things Up?

I am interested to know if people who have chosen to leave, but have decided to go for a 2nd career, are interested in remaining in their field of expertise, or are going to look to taking things in a whole new direction? Good luck to all.

Wishing You the Best

Congratulations to all of you opting to leave after your great careers and years of dedication. Circumstances dictate that I'll be here a while more and I envy (in a good way) those with the latitude to now leave and wish you all well. Anyone want to... — read more

Something for the rebadgers to think about

"option of taking the exit package or moving to Infosys with a guarantee of comparable pay and benefits for two years" This is the exact offer another Indian company gave to a USA company (my ex-company) a few years back. And want to know how that... — read more

VZ and old custer

The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sage thicket. "Vámonos, amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintcraw over the loose weave of the saddle****. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.

Infosys IT Employees

Opinion: All the transferred employees will be fired by end of year. Infosys works on race to bottom concept. Infosys and all other Indian companies says they are hiring local people in US or other countries, by local they means Indian who are... — read more

More Change is Coming

Button pushing report?

Does anyone believe that they aren’t getting a daily or weekly report? They always say they don’t but the whole we won’t know till the 17th and then we’ll work with leaders story just oozes bs.

Bare minimum

I can tell you the moment I opted in I am in I'm getting out of here mode. These greedy people are gonna get the bare min from me. Hahahahah I feel for the s---ers who think they won't get cut.

Just Out Of Curiosity...

First item of the Verizon Credo: "We have work because our customers value our high-quality communications services." So, when they lay us off and we don't have work? The opposite?

Package

1st goes the management , next up : craft ! Probably a package next year to get rid of some old dead weight

Pension question

If you stay and Vz wireline gets sold off to another company (or) we get re-badged to some other company .. could we lose our Verizon pension? Do we have to take this offer to preserve that?

1F Team

Does anyone think anyone from 1F will be released if they volunteer? The whole strategy of 5G depends on this organization.

If you select to take the package

Do you think they will allow everyone to leave or do you think they will just cherry pick the ones that they want gone. I can’t imagine being here after choosing to go and then being turned down

Dumb on so many levels.

Verizon is creating morale issues at a point in time when technology is about to explode and become more competitive then ever. They are sabatoging their own talent pool. The message Verizon is sending is loud and clear. No real direction. No clear... — read more

Best advice... take the package!

I've seen the 2019 budget. It cuts salary expense by 33%. So, if only 10% take the package, guess what happens to the other 23%? RIF, baby, RIF! And, the 2019 severance will be half the package offer in 2018. Heed my advice... take the package. No... — read more

Verizon may disappear and no value to stocks

VDSI may shutdown completely by 2018 or Q1 19

as 80% of the work force already moved to Infosys... things are on the way to completely close Verizon India arm (VDSI) by December end or early 1st Qtr 2019 as per internal sources nd leadership talk... so wake up and plan future accordingly... last... — read more

Rebadging to Infosys

Based off the emails going around and the dissent at the in person meetings I cannot see this working out at all for every involved party. There are zero benefits in it for any worker being rebadged, and it's weird that they haven't even attempted to... — read more

Verizon Makes Non-News in 5G

There's mobile 5G... and then there's fixed wireless. One feature of our industry that has given me countless hours of enjoyment over the years has been the way companies can turn important technology developments into meaningless marketing slop. On... — read more
