Any idea how many IT employees will be outsourced?

It goes without saying that LC has lost the whole function. Only 10% of the 150 or so people responded to his survey. Hardly anybody shows up to his in person townhalls so they’re just all virtual.

I just browsed around that list and also noticed that CS is now a GM for his EPMO work. It’s truly amazing the level of talent that has completely fell off the cliff. There are so many new GM and directors now, while the worker bees are shipped off to ENGINE and MSSC. There’s nobody to manage here.

If I compare the days of ITSD (JG RIP, RS, the lady LC) - the knowledge of actual IT versus who we have in KG for ITOF is night and day. We have decided to overpay incompetent IT people while pushing out people who actually knew technology.

And don’t get me started on platform GMs. SB as a subsurface GM was certainly not on anybody’s bingo card.

Just burn it all down.

Indiana University's tech division cut jobs. Thirteen employees received notices of termination. This move aligns staff with institutional goals. It supports research and financial stability. The university remains silent on wider layoffs.

That didnt take long huh. A rather pointless exercise, with HR and the big cheeses knowing full well it was coming 6 months ago. Shame - had hoped for better. Thats the HPE way we've been hearing about and now finding out its a reality!

What happened to the Wellmed IT leadership, did they all go back to Optum? I was laid off from Wellmed two months ago and I am happy to be moving on. The WM leadership face planted that business in to the ground!

I have an interest to get back into Ford as an agency resource.

Cisco to lay off dozens in Israel as restructuring hits local operations

Can Verizon afford to keep employees (not discussing VZ contractors) whom have H-1B Specialty Occupations eligibility? Forgone are the days of the minimal H-1B fees. With the new Sheriff in the Oval Office whereby raising the fee to $100k for eligible employees, paramount within Information Technology and predominantly from India.

Over the last year MMC has slowly hired on numerous offshore positions and brought people over on H1B visas to pay them lower wages. Now they are laying off a large number of IT employees.

The company is likely going to face serious financial turmoil over the next several years.

Chevron Employee here who just went through all the layoffs here. I bet they are going to send IT and other functions overseas. If you are tired of this garbage contact your congressman. It might not help but they need to hear about it.

MY OPINION: I don't think that AK knows Cloud. It is supposed to be his background, but I think he is mediocre, but of course, a good politician and how he got the big gig.

Here's why I say this: If anything should not fail is CLOUD. This is where he can show whether he deserved the big job or not. If he can't get his domain of expertise right, then what can investors expect in terms of Quantum, AI, etc?

He was working on this cr-p years before he got the big job.

Investors: Hey, AK, if you can't figure Cloud out after all these years, how can we trust you with the rest?

What is going on with IT? Never a day we are free from glitches. It is impossible to get any work done!
