Fire drill – who cares…

That fire drill today, for those who were there. Clearly showed the current state of the company: lack of direction, lack of care. Total lack of safety. Just do it for the checkmark. And then brag about on your performance review how well you did it... — read more

Elements of PIP

Will my manager share anything about what’s on the PIP before I decide to do PIP or PIL?

Here you go Corporate....

You want to terminate people easily? Do a dr-g test. I work with a many addicts. Easy peasy. Start dr-g testing!!! Forget the bottom 10%... Even the hourly should be tested.

Reorg end of year?

If you watched the 3 DW videos on the internal homepage, the 2nd video sounded like we are in store for an enterprise wide overhaul to be announced by the end of the year?

What's up with pds timing this year?

What's going on the the pds timing this year? Normally everything g is orderly and timely. Why is HR taking so long to get everything done? We're going into August without guidance on mlrp which is holding g up delivery of results to many other... — read more

Is my career over with an NI?

Got my first ever NI. Still trying to process this. Been with the company 9 years and bounced between VG to O in the new system and was always among the top 1/3 in the old system. Never played politics. Just worked hard and produced tangible... — read more

The art of attrition: how they wear us down

Let’s list all the attrition tactics they’ve thrown at us so far. PIP has to be the crown jewel - nothing says 'we value you' like a months-long, soul-draining performance circus. I’d also nominate 'lack of perspective' as the soft attrition MVP... — read more

A warning to newcomers

It starts with promises of a fast-paced environment and a tight-knit team. Then you’re pulling 10-hour days with no breaks, covering for people who mysteriously disappear midweek, and juggling three people’s work while being told to do it with a... — read more

What to do when you accept the PIP

I have decided that I am going to accept the PIP. This is my first time being ranked as NSI. What do I need to know while on PIP and what are things I should do to get a successful pass on PIP. Any advice would definitely help me. Thanks in advance!

Global Trading

How’s year two P4P? Traders happy? TDP candidates looking forward to trading? Global book leads jet setting across the globe instead of trading?

This company ki-ls me

I got my NSI yesterday because I was told as a 28 I can’t compete with the managers in more visible and global roles. Then my supervisor told me they really want me to take the PIP because they are desperate for my skill set and they have nobody... — read more

The job is definitely a 4 to 5-year max affair

Anything beyond that is just working like a horse for nothing. If you can use the time to upgrade your skills or further specialize in an area, it’s a win for your resume. There are no real avenues for progression, expertise isn’t valued or nurtured... — read more

Stay away

Looking back, I should have heeded the advice to not accept the offer. It’s a very toxic environment. I’ve been lied to, gaslighted, harassed, and had ideas stolen. Even had a supervisor who insinuated he will harm my career for not going along... — read more

MOH Offshore Clearance incl. THC test?

Does the MOH include a THC panel as part of the blood tests for offshore clearance? I know they draw a couple vials for disease related tests and administer vaccines based on the country, but do they use the blood drawn to perform a dr-g test as... — read more

NSI

My supervisor made me change my PA in CC over a zoom call and then they ended up giving me NSI. The supervisor said even if I submitted what I had, the outcome would have been the same. Has anyone experienced this before? I feel like I was set up and... — read more

Waxes VP gone

Anyone know why AB left (VP in EMPS)? Was he a NSI causality or what? He always seemed to be one of the better VPs in my dealings.

Why are people so scared of PIPs?

I know several people who survived theirs and are still here, some of them thriving. Yes, it took hard work but it's far from impossible. So what am I missing? Why are people being advised to quit as soon as they learn they've been put on a PIP?

NSI and back to work

Does Exxon actually it’s actually safe and or productive to call an employee in and tell them they are NSI, then tell them they have 3 weeks to decide whether they want PIP or PIL and send them back out in the field where they are the lead a of a... — read more
