VBO communications will be going out in July. It’s said to be a lucrative offer. Potentially giving the option to take it Dec 2025 or Dec 2026. Then late July/early Aug will come the declaration that we will be moving away from WFH in Sept, as much... — read more
Diversity Report
I’m very concerned that the Diversity Reports have been taken down. Should I be worried.?
New Area
My previous work was in an area where everything was onshore in the USA. Now, I am in an area where everything is overseas. Wow. What a difference. Project management and most VP slots are WW. They throw everything over the wall to offshore. ... — read more

Brokerage - What a sh*t show
Sick of so many flash calls every other week. Really starting to affect productivity now with so much anxiety, uncertainty. Can't they just freaking do that they want to already, why keep your teammates under dark???
Manager survey - Follow up
How does one respond? My manager had no clue what I did with the other team I was loaned out to. Pretty much entire leadership team in my group were gone due to org restructuring. I personally felt I exceeded all the expectations however I got SP... — read more

Manager survey
My boss is a credit taking, politics playing and trade ignorant dead weight, yet I picked highest ratings on all of the questions. Why? She has only two reports and the other one is a brownnoser. If Fidelity want true opinions, do more about the... — read more
Filed an HR complaint got hit with corrective action
I know I’m a dummy.
Boomer Karens and Chad
They hold so many critical level 5 and even level 6/7 positions in some cases. But they don't know basic difference between an apple vs windows machine. Yet their only real "talent" seems to be belittling their own teammates, picking on them (due... — read more
How good is HR @ Fidelity?
We all hear about tech not being that good and complaints about inadequate phone people. But what about HR? How good is that department? They have to deal with the pushback of people doing connect week after all. And even though everyone knows... — read more

Emerson replacement to cut fat
Level 8/9 who made lots of money already know this. Your manager knows it too, that's why they're not micro managing you coz soon you'll not be their problem. Your quarterly check in feels like nothing but a BS session where instead of judging for... — read more
What do VRBO packages typically look like
I see quite a few posts about people discussing voluntary retirement buyout packages, I realize senior management's package would look a lot different than say a level 4. Just curious of those that have experienced or have seen the package what it... — read more
Imagine yourself as super workaholic that 'made it' to upper management.
Let's face it, these people in upper management have made lots of money for many years. Either they are really d-mb as bricks at saving/investing or just love their jobs more than their freedom for some odd reason. 100 years from now even their... — read more

So many architects
Why are these roles necessary? Do they add any real value to the organization? Architects feel like relics from the outdated waterfall era
Fall will see falling of roles
Heavy AI focus, there will be no more SL and similar other roles (IYKYK). All product areas to be aligned to ONE location, no more distributed teams. You'll be eliminated if your location isn't same as your direct manager or chapter lead. If... — read more
Realistically how long will it take to correct management
From what it seems like on here, good managers are few and far between the firm. Managers struggle with diverse teams and are in way over their heads. This then causes extra stress to the point where low level employees are worried about politics... — read more
Have an offer, should I take it?
I've been interviewing for a role at Fidelity for a few months now, its in a squad leader role in tech. Is it honestly as bad as this board would suggest, should I run for the hills instead of accepting an offer? Everyone I interviewed with has been... — read more
We’re all on the same page
Management is the problem with the company culture. Not even sure if retraining them would be a good solution. In my department, it would be better to shut it down and start over.
Year of flash calls, round table, all hands every other week
What a sh*t show it's been for over two years now. Every day there's a "flash call" announcement, memo here and there, round table anxiety. How tf are we supposed to work in peace while anxiously waiting for these calls not knowing what we are... — read more

Demotions
So guess they demoted some grade 8’s to grade 7’s. I had not heard about this but did notice a couple of the people I worked with start missing calls and being angry all the time. Not sure demoting someone a grade and asking them to do the same job... — read more

Look to the Future
My Fidelity buyout package vs being let go due to moving my job out of state was a great escape. That was over 20 years ago. Based on these comments Fidelity culture has not improved.
Jokes on us
What if there’s no layoff and Fidelity can keep up the panic for another 20 years.
