This is so disrespectful
People who’ve given Oracle ten plus years are being laid off through email, no call, no conversation, nothing. That would require facing the people affected, and clearly that’s not something they’re willing to do. It’s a cowardly way to handle something like this, but I'm not surprised.
I was RIFd. When do we get the final docs?
I've completed the docusign, providing my non-Oracle email. When can I expect the final paperwork? TIA
why mine say "today is your last working day", no WARN?

Is Oracle biased ?
Well, my schedule just opened up for pickleball.
Oracle layoffs hit this morning, so I’m suddenly available for daytime games while I figure out what’s next.
If you know of openings, recruiters hiring, or just want to connect, I’d appreciate it. Also accepting pickleball invites, networking chats, and strong coffee.
RIF via email after 15 years
Got the generic email this morning. Just one month short of my 15 year mark. I have seen a lot of good people and engineers treated in similar fashion so I knew this day would come sooner or later. All the best to everyone affected.
Can someone explain this to me
If my boss isn't consulted on who to lay off, and my bosses boss isn't consulted then what's the point in doing any work day to day ?

GO&SC Resuscitation and Layoffs
This org structure and function is not sustainable. Layoffs inboard.
Question to the people who got laid off , did you get paid?
Like the title suggests, have you received your paychecks for the previous and current month (February and March), including the VCP? Also, there is an additional severance package that is supposed to be paid as well, correct?

Oracle - Layoff are Real
I was recalled from vacation last week to notify employees they were being terminated. Then I was personally impacted. These layoffs are real — they accelerate tomorrow (03/31). This playbook is painfully familiar: make a risky bet, prop up the books, shift risk to employees, and then cut the people who built the product. History repeats — Enron, Lehman, FTX, WeWork — different names, same patterns. Sacrifice institutional knowledge and experience for short-term optics and a gamble on leadership’s vision. And too often the cuts disproportionately hit those who are older, outspoken, politically out-of-step, or who challenged the direction.
The result is predictable: silence expertise, reward conformity, and chase mediocrity while pretending it’s decisive leadership. If you care about accountability, transparency, or the future of good work, don’t accept this quietly. Demand clarity on the rationale, fairness in selection criteria, and real support for those pushed out. Lives and livelihoods are on the line — this shouldn’t be swept under the rug.
Canada Layoffs - Is it done? or more to come?
Hello, I just was catching up on the posts here. Canada was hit today? Does anyone know if it is done for now or there are more to come? Reading US will be hit tomorrow, and one post also mentioned NAM (North America). Not trying to be a troll or disrespectful. Just confused and lost.
Laid off
I was let go from my job at Meta, and I now have 60 days to find a new job or I will have to leave the UK.
This morning, I went into the office for what I thought was a normal one-on-one with my manager. I had even prepared a document to update her on all of my projects. She sat down, joined a call, and at first I thought she was about to present something. Then another woman appeared on the big monitor, and I realized this was that kind of meeting.
I was surprisingly calm, partly because my original manager had been laid off the month before, and there had already been rumors of layoffs at Meta.
After the meeting, I had to gather my things and leave the office right away. I turned in my equipment and my badge. My manager even asked whether I wanted to grab any snacks before I left. Of course, I did. Then I went back home.
I messaged people on LinkedIn and then jumped on a WhatsApp call to let them know what had happened.
I came to the UK on a Skilled Worker visa, and HR told me that my visa sponsorship through Meta is now canceled. I have a 60-day grace period to find another job.
So, welcome to my new series: trying to find a job within 60 days.

Return After Layoff
Has anyone returned to the company after a layoff? It’s been a few years since I was let go, so interested to see if anyone has comeback and what their experience was like. I’ve realized the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. I’m also aware that the company is still going through layoffs so it may not be an ideal time to come back.

West Michigan Layoffs Up in 2025; Experts Warn of More
West Michigan experienced a significant increase in layoffs during 2025. Over 2,500 workers lost jobs, with 1,918 reported via WARN notices. This represents a 78% rise in WARN layoffs compared to 2024. Experts predict more layoffs for the region in 2026. Acquisitions and the end of "labor hoarding" are contributing factors.
