Layoffs next week

Considering it's the start of a new month, how many layoffs can we expect to see next week? Any ideas on what will be hit?

Buckle up California

When it rains it pours. Watch out for next week storms. Don’t let them catch you off guard. I’m sure we’re all sinking.

Location changed, to quit or not to quit

I'm in a hub, but thanks to the "location strategy", my location changed & my daily commute went up from 40 mins to 3 -4 hours depending on traffic. I can no longer drop my kids off at school and daycare and then get to work on time. I feel forced to... — read more

There's a storm coming in.

Tuesday. A mix of sunshine, rain, and an occasional severe thunderstorm. Localized flash flooding possible with hail and a tornado risk. Many have not been monitoring the weather and will be caught unprepared.

To Charlie & BOD

Every time I recount the way we are treated here, people say "Oh, I must take my $$ out of WF" - so far it's at least $5 million. Priceless.

Questions during town hall.

The questions our Joke CEO answers during an hour long town hall are a complete joke. They took no questions form online, and everyone one in the room is a desk jockey that isn’t worried about their job? I know for a fact that people form... — read more

Cybersecurity Location Strategy

Someone posted the cybersecurity location strategy. why are you deleting it? Posting again... https://i.ibb.co/gWzkjXg/Screenshot-2024-03-02-at-20-20-41.png

Sf Bay Area

This week in the Hagerman town hall only San Leandro and Concord were the only offices mentioned. Does that mean the SF office is toast too? Those of use remember when sf tech was on 1st, 45 Fremont and 333 market. I guess we are no longer an sf... — read more

This!

I wouldn't take a layoff personally, it's business and that S goes both ways. What I do take personally is Hudson Yards intentionally tormenting employees to weasel out of paying severance, which is THEIR policy. That's not business, it's just being... — read more

India

It looks like we’re at 40% right now for our cohorts in India. Do you think this whole company will go to India soon? Stock going up, I wonder why? Cheap labor? We’re not under the asset cap, so I just don’t really get it. — read more

M Level Compensation

I have an interview in Digital. The HR said the position is either at M4 or M5 level. It is too early to ask what type of total compensation would be...is anybody here with some information particularly the bonus percentage of base?

Location Strategy Timeline

I'm beginning to get the feeling our 2-3yr timelime is extremely unrealistic. With senior leaders leaving in droves, and what appears to be very poor planning which leads to poor execution, it's not looking good. In speaking with people in... — read more

Location strat is just to kick us or make us leave

My reading of the location strategy is to have an excuse for layoffs en masse, and also to motivate people to leave on their own, so no severance pay. I have been considering looking for another job. With all the turmoil in the banking sector, it may... — read more

Badge in/out

Is anyone just badging in and immediately out and not gotten into trouble? I have to do the couple of times next week, so checking… I will get a lot of flak for this but I don’t have an option…

Referrals, referrals, referrals

How many referrals this week? How many referrals last month? How many referrals from tellers? From bankers? Referrals. That seems to be retail banking's new motto. Referrals to premier bankers, to financial advisors, mortgage consultants, business... — read more

Laid off and rehired?

Anyone ever get laid off and rehired? What was your experience like in applying? Were you able to do it in time to keep your tenure? Do they even re-hire people? I don’t think I’ve known anyone personally to be laid off and come back now that I... — read more

SoCal

Really curious what happens with all the tech folks. Everything from executive down. There are a lot in Southern California.

Location Strategy???

Pardon my ignorance but can someone please explain what the real purpose is behind the location strategy? It’s not just an excuse to lay off people, they’ve been doing that all along without having to need an excuse. It can’t be “collaboration” if... — read more

Using WF office closer to home

Is anyone else using a WF office location closer to home but that is not considered their designated location? I know the RTO system flags for this, but has anyone experienced other issues from management / HR in doing this?

Wagons Ho…any layoff updates?

Do WF staff think there will be more layoffs, branch or unit closures, etc. What do you think? Retail Banking is doomed!
