I received by feedback today, manager said they went in with thinking 'VG' with a case to argue for 'E', BUT, the way things "shook out", I received "G". Anyone with any insight as to how you go from arguing 'E' for your employee and landing at 'G'?... — read more
SSHE Global Security
SSHE in particular Global Security used to be a valued added Department with world class professionals that always did the ‘right vs popular’ and set the bench mark in the security industry. Such a shame to see the deterioration and poor behaviour... — read more

BTC is best
The point that changed my perspective...
Was back in 2020 when EM immediately laid off my coworker who had just come back from cancer treatment. I always knew it was transactional, but that for sure drove it home.
Why does YEE = age minus 18?
I don't understand how age is a part of the increase or promotion process. Can anyone explain?
Rubber Crack Fill: Do Product Quality and Proper Pricing both get degraded?
I am ExxonMobil. Make no mistake. But when the fella patching up my driveway mentions that not only has EM's asphalt and fake rubber prices gone up - but the quality has done down. Way up - Way down. Does this seem consistent with everything I, as... — read more
Fixing slackers' mistakes
But I don't want that, not even at the cost of losing my job. Helping someone is perfectly fine, but for my boss to order me to correct the mistakes made by his lazy favorite - that's not ok with me. I am exhausted from doing double workloads and... — read more
10 percent inflation
Prices on average went up 10%. I would like the price of my labor to be adjusted accordingly. Anything under 10% is not acceptable as it would be an equivalent of a pay cut. You should ask for it too.
Nepotism
Do you find it to be a problem?
Who am I competing against?
I’m in CL X in a ranking group that has CL’s X, X+1, and X+2. I was told last year during my feedback session that I did really well, but that all three CL levels in my pool are ranked against the same criteria and it’s tough for the little fish... — read more
Are employees allowed to moonlight if there is no conflict of interest?
It's a tough environment, and the pay for represented employees is hardly competitive anymore. Is a second job an option, or a violation of any policy?
NSI - age
There are many conflicting opinions when I talk about it with my colleagues. What do you think, is NSI mostly dictated by age?
How hesitant were you to retire early?
I would really like to know the number of those who, contrary to their original plan, decided to retire earlier because they can no longer bear EM. I would also like to be able to do that, but I am discouraged by the disadvantages of early... — read more
Health Benefit Transition Debacle

EM is excellent at turning good employees into bad ones
How? I've seen more than once how good employees who made sure to go the extra mile give up after they get passed for a promotion for the umpteenth time over somebody who barely showed any effort but has the right connections. Now they do the bare... — read more
D/S BAR

Xombie process: Reviewing your Formation is important.

Worst CEO ranking?
Is there one out there? Glassdoor has some outdated articles/rankings. Wonder what DW would rank considering he has a Glassdoor 26% Approval rating as the CEO.
This is why people are leaving
I have worked at different places and seen enough. By far the ExxonMobil culture and it’s employees and management are the most mentally corrupt and toxic humans on this planet. The poison has spread to far and deep that it is not possible to fix... — read more

US Pension Question: Resigning Before Retirement Eligible

Less than one year to early retirement
