Are you people serious?

This is less and less the company it once was. It's understandable that things change, but Intel has changed a lot for the worse. However, I still don't understand those who say they would like to be laid off. Really? Are you joking?

Layoffs at Qualcomm, Dell

I think it'll be our turn next. I'll be shocked if we don't see a major round before the end of this month.

Low hanging fruits

Gr.6 SWE in Oregon here. How come the lowest performer in the team gets promoted to manage BBs while the top performer gets mediocre school grade projects. Isn't it these guys that are to be laid off first ?

Should I leave Intel for Nvidia?

I’m grade 7. Got an offer from Nvidia with base pay which is on par with my Intel base + QPB + APB assuming bonuses are maximized. Also got 250k NVDA RSU as entry bonus, while at Intel I have ~70k and in the last round INTC gave ~20k…

Always have a plan

Even though it is quite clear that there will always be more layoffs here, some still do not have an exit plan. Why? Unfortunately, I have seen many cases of people who believed they were safer than others, only to end up experiencing a rude... — read more

Where's the reward?

"reward" is just back pay in stock form? Well my expectations were that they'd just conveniently forget about the reward, so it's about equivalent, but what audacity. Especially as the stock will probably drop. I'm glad I didn't sign for the... — read more

Intel is not a tech company

Intel is not a tech company it is a monopoly management company except the leaders are too stupid to identify the sources of their franchise and adapt accordingly. In political organizations they would not measure up. I learned a lot in Intel on what... — read more

Bookkeeping

Intel folks are seriously celebrating losing money but due to bookkeeping making it appear profitable. Keep Believing sheep

Don’t believe the good news, things are FUBAR

The bleeding continues with no end on sight. I am amazed the BoD is in on this. “In the quarter ended in June, Intel’s posted $12.95 billion in sales, off 15.5 percent, but even after some pretty substantial cost-cutting, the company still posted... — read more

Biggest difference between July 2016 and July 2023

Me and many of my colleagues took the ERP or a VSP in 2016. Things were stagnant, layoffs were happening, morale was low, leadership (BK, Murthy, etc.) was weak, and there was no visible strategy for moving in a positive direction. Fast forward one... — read more

Eating my words…
