Topics regarding layoffs at Wells Fargo & Co.

Odd that the offshore thread was deleted.

I get that there was a lot of unnecessary racism but there were also valid complaints about things a lot of people weren't aware of. Why is WF trying to hide this rather than just police the thread? The fact that offshore is treated better than... — read more

Retire The Wells Fargo Name -Other Thoughts

The asset cap and consent decrees remain, despite "improvements" at Wells Fargo. Now Charlie Scharf has layoffs as a solution. Clearly, he's run out of quality ideas, and it's time to wind down the firm, not prolong its existence. Instead, the... — read more

i am scared

i see a lot of people finding success after wells fargo and i'm glad for them but i don't think my story will be the same. i don't have any college and i've been working at wells for years in a very industry specific role. i know i'm smart and I pick... — read more

Can AVPs join union

Curious if anyone knows if an employee with the completely useless "AVP" designation could join the union - since they aren't managers?

JC construction

Wells has to be d-mb as sh-t. Electrical starts flickering on the JC building. Mass exodus of employees for the day.why have employees in building when the crews are doing all the re-wiring

JC Construction

The pounding drilling closed bathrooms parking spots taken and more hammering and loud noises Construction workers that act annoyed we are in THEIR way Meetings where we can’t hear and no one can hear us due to the loud noises Headaches and... — read more

Wake up to reality

I read articles about employees in Des Moines trying to unionize, and how they think that will motive the company to be more employee centric. That's hilarious! Some of you people are utterly delusional and it is sad. The company got billions in... — read more

are bonuses normalized across similar roles?

Given it seems so much of TVC is based on what you got last year, does HR or anyone do any comparisons to what others in the same role/location/perf are getting and adjust accordingly? Seems ripe for issue especially when all else is equal and some... — read more

IT&V Reorg?

Anyone hear anything about a reorg in February? Seems like most of the jobs in this group are going to India.

I support Wells Fargo Workers United

I'm not really a "Union" person, per se, but I wholeheartdly support them and their unionization effort simply because Charlie and the board DON'T want it. So for that, I am 200% on board and I hope to god that they are successful.

Risk Town Hall

Half the Town Hall was DF telling us what he's reading and what his Christmas plans are. Loved his response to the question on employees being disengaged, sounds like he'll address it with performance improvement, because nothing like fear of being... — read more

US Shift Work Being Discussed

The possibility of US shift work to better align with India is getting discussion at Hudson Yards. I can't wait for this.

If WF prioritized HR

Productivity will go up, increasing shareholder value Innovation would happen more frequently, increasing shareholder value Employees will know their value to WF and vice versa (to bolster the next point) Headcount add/removes can happen in... — read more

I left.

I left Wells Fargo after nearly 10 grueling years. I’d worked in multiple areas of the company and had always been fearing that my role would be eliminated. This company truly gets worse every day. Ethics are non-existent and leadership strives to... — read more

Bad Review

I got a mid-year review, after I filed for a short-term disability for a major surgery. I don’t care my health is more important but it hurts after going beyond and above to learning major coding, which really isn’t in my job description but I... — read more

"More aggressive" job cuts

Does that mean that what we've been having for the past several years is considered to be mild? Are you kidding me? Chainsaw is truly an appropriate nickname for Charlie.

Hey Charlie

Maybe instead of cutting costs and shipping everything to India. Grow the business, grow the product offerings, increase the customer experience. Shipping your laundry overseas only will work for so long. Then it will be culling time.

When I worked at Wells, I felt like a burden employee

Got laid off there in 2021. How many times did we hear leadership say, Look. There're just way too many people working here. We're bloated ". I had just joined. Why did you waste my time hiring me, if you were bloated?

Is the 60 day notice a legal requirement or is it a WF policy

WFH People Near Hubs... Beware...

Starting 2024 WF will start targeting employees who are WFH but who live near hubs. They will be required to RTO. Non compliance will mean voluntary resignation.

If severance costs are coming in fourth quarter , does that mean the layoffs have already happened ? https://www.cnbc.com/2023/12/05/wells-fargo-ceo-warns-of-severance-costs-as-layoffs-loom.html
