June 6th employee survey

I’m going to demolish them. They are such a joke. Then I’m talking with my feet, and leaving this joke of a place.

“Let’s have fun” email

Planned “fun” activities for the next 3 months, the email reads like a summer camp flyer. Guessing they weren’t notified that cupcakes don’t work on adults so here comes the forced “fun”activities in fear in retaliation. All the while still waiting... — read more

Dear Brain M / Cathy B

Hello BAC leadership I just wanted to let you know that I have been extremely busy building solutions for your competitors. So far they are loving the solutions for many different reasons such as: low cost of ownership, elasticity, ... — read more

All Hands Call

Had an amusing all hands call with my org leader today. Boy, can she say a lot of words without actually saying anything. Hybrid? Still thinking, so much thinking thinking thinking thinking. So many people tell her how much they love the office, it’s... — read more

B4 type salaries in tech

A buddy is trying to get me to join, what is the (current) salary range for b4 roles? Curious if they've adjusted them at all

Orange Ear Plugs

The Merrill office in Hopewell NJ is just plain rotten, though I like my team a lot. The myth of “coming back to the office to collaborate and hear each other on the phones” really gets busted when you stand up and see the sea of orange ear plugs my... — read more

Digital and marketing reorg

Curious if there are rumblings from the digital and marketing reorg. New opex routines and responsibilities continue to be in discussion and very few details are clear. Been about 9 months and still as clear as mud.

Management will keep piling on the work

I wanted to keep this job and worked long hours without any complaints, doing work that someone else should be doing. Now that I am absolutely burned out and leaving soon, I would advise that no one puts in any extra effort. Why does BofA tend to... — read more

Bad bosses playing favorites

Favoritism is nothing new. However, in the past, managers at least tried to hide that they had favorites. Now it's like the game of playing favorites is very much out in the open? Very frustrating and very unprofessional. Worst of all, the... — read more

Signs it may be time to leave a job

You are underusing your skills. You are not following your passion. The work environment is unhealthy. There are no opportunities for growth. The company's future is in question. Your ethics are being... — read more

Increasing visibility at work

I have been convinced of this many times, despite the competence and professionalism working quietly and hoping that managers will notice someone's efforts and commitment will not bring any advancement to the employee. But the question is is it... — read more

External Postings

Anyone have any intel on b4 like roles and how much hiring there is externally? Curious if people are getting lots of resumes or if attempts to hire externally are failing

Just in time for summer camp mess

Well, kids are out for 10 weeks of summer break and camps in our area are only offering 4 weeks (9a-3:30p.. super inconvenient for working parents)…. But they can’t offer more because WE’RE STILL DEALING WITH A PANDEMIC. Great timing on the id--tic... — read more

Shrinking middle class, where’s our raise?

A family of three making $52,000 to $156,000 per year is considered middle class. Why is there a $100,000 cutoff for raises? The Bank is contributing to the middle class struggle. Signed, an angry employee making just over 100K

Covid exposure!!

I’m in the office full time 5 days a week. My coworker that sits in my area of cubes tested positive for Covid Thursday morning and called SOACC they told them they were at work the day before. My other coworker who sits even closer to me went and... — read more

Something will have to change

I hate there's talk about the full return to the office so soon after the hybrid was implemented. I don't think it's realistic to expect people to be receptive to that. If there were some changes made, then maybe. For example, I wouldn't mind going... — read more

Anyone ask for raise after 3-7% <100k?

I ve heard of a lot of people angry about not getting cola for over $100k but under $250k. Anyone ask for raise and if so did it work? Not sure how long it would actually take to go into effect or be approved...

Employee Survey

BofA probably know they won't have good survey results? I believe the results will be worse than ever.

Counteroffers

I've heard that the bank does counteroffer if you approach your manager with an offer from a competitor, is this true?

Raising miminum wage

The minimum wage increase to $22 effective at the end of June is generally a good thing. However, is celebrating this a bit foolish because pretty soon it won’t be enough to live off regardless of the increase?

250k is now rich and 100k ain't -electric vehicles

A step in the right direction to punish over $250k now instead of picking on $100k employees via electric cars? Or just a olive branch for people under $250k to justify bringing us back to the office where we are 2 feet next to each other? August... — read more

A change in layoff strategy

Is it just me or does it seem like there was a change in layoffs strategy in the last year or so? We used to have major rounds but we were mostly safe between them. Now it seems they've decided to give up that system and instead they're doing a bunch... — read more

Pay is so low

BofA is less and less successful at retaining and attracting good employees. Now that I am looking for a new job I see that almost all major banks are paying more for the position I have here. Why is the pay here so low?

Unvaccinated

I just found out the a person on my floor is not vaccinated. I thought they were supposed separated from those who are vaccinated. I guess that is not the case.

We're not all equal in RTO

I've been noticing that managers' pets are not required to come to the office as much as the rest of us are (or at all in some cases). Am I just imagining things or has anybody else noticed this? If it's true, I'm going to be monumentally pi---d off... — read more
