Layoffs How will this affect TSYS employees
Will there be layoffs for TSYS employees?
T-Mobile Officials Notification I guess
Washington Employment Security Department ESDGPLayoffAssistance@esd.wa.gov Re: Notice of Layoff at T-Mobile USA, Inc. Dear Washington Employment Security Department: This is to inform you that changing business needs have required T-Mobile USA, Inc. to conduct a layoff. This layoff has resulted in the reduction of 393 employees at the following T-Mobile locations:
Worksite Location Street 1 City State Zip WA-Bellevue HQ Company Store 3625 132nd Ave SE Bellevue WA 98006 WA-Bellingham Call Center 340 W Bakerview Rd Bellingham WA 98226 WA-Bothell 4 Switch 19807 N Creek Pkwy N Bothell WA 98011 WA-Canyon Pointe 22309 30th Dr SE Bothell WA 98021 WA-Headquarters, Building 1 3617 131st Ave SE Bellevue WA 98006 WA-Headquarters, Building 2 3655 131st Ave SE Bellevue WA 98006 WA-Headquarters, Building 3 12920 SE 38th St Bellevue WA 98006 WA-Headquarters, Building 4 3650 131st Ave SE Bellevue WA 98006 WA-Headquarters, Building 5 3625 132nd Ave SE Bellevue WA 98006 WA-Remote Remote - Use Home Address Various WA 98188 WA-Spokane Office/Storage 10020 E Knox Ave Ste 500 Spokane Valley WA 99206 WA-Woodinville Duvall & 178th 14141 Woodinville-Duvall Rd Suite A Woodinville WA 98072 Worksite Location Street City State Zip WA-Snoqualmie NOC/Office 34931 SE Douglas St Snoqualmie WA 98065 WA-Bellevue MGI Data Center 1759 135th Pl NE Bellevue WA 98005 WA-East Wenatchee Data Center - Polaris 4405 Grant Rd Bldg A East Wenatchee WA 98802 WA-Heritage Corporate Center 13427 NE Spring Blvd Bellevue WA 98005
These facilities are not being closed. The layoffs are not due to relocation or contracting out employer operations or employee positions, but it is possible that some work currently done by these employees may at some point be done by others. While employees are encouraged to pursue open T-Mobile positions, these layoffs are expected to be permanent. There is no union at this location and there are no bumping rights. Aim of all of this?
As I understand, they lay off a bunch of technology teams/devs etc. that support apps and products. Who is then going to work on those? Do they purposefully want to ki-l those products and not offer them to clients anymore? Or do they really hope that a couple thousand new workers are going to be able to keep it up?
Carenet Health
Supervisors were laid off today from the wellmed branch within Carenet health. Anyone from wellmed out there know when Carenets contract will end with wellmed ? Assuming that is sooner than later with the amount of clinic closures.
Database org update...
Hearing confirmed from senior leadership that layoffs will be impacting the Database org over the coming weeks, ~2,900 roles in total.
It looks like this will roll out in phases, starting with US and then extending to EMEA.
From what's being speculated, areas most impacted include redundant roles (code fixing and ai replaceable tasks), parts of platform, as well as functions tied to performance and time-based metrics.
FIS under investigation by the US labor relations board?
I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I hope this is legitimate

We already know about layoffs in PHK, EMEA, PTC, when in ITC?
unless they get ”special” treatment again …

Corporate media ignore layoffs
Yahoo Finance, CNBC, Fox Business, Market Watch… none have news about FIS layoffs of employees. Meanwhile there’s news about FIS CEO buying $1,000,000 worth of stock and FIS issuing billions of dollars in debt obligations. Goldman and Wells Fargo affirm buy ratings meanwhile the stock is at multi year lows.

Plan B
It’s important to always keep a Plan B. These days, AI is reshaping many roles across the job market. In the case of FIS, the situation is different—they’re facing internal challenges and financial pressure, which is why layoffs are happening.
During times like this, it’s wise to avoid major financial commitments such as buying a house, an expensive car, or any investment that requires high monthly payments. Focus on saving, staying financially flexible, and preparing yourself for alternative job opportunities. If your role at FIS is stable and not outsourced, staying put until things settle over the next year to year and a half can also be a practical choice.
At the same time, start learning AI‑related skills and explore internal or external opportunities that align with future technology trends. With global conflicts and economic uncertainty, many projects are delayed, and the environment is challenging for everyone. Hopefully, things will stabilize soon
Shutdown Drives Up U.S. Unemployment Filings
Initial claims for U.S. unemployment benefits increased last week. Economists estimate applications rose to 235,000 for the week ending October 4. This increase is linked to the ongoing U.S. government shutdown. Contractors and federal workers are experiencing temporary layoffs. The shutdown has also delayed official economic data releases.

WallStreetDiscriminates.com - Disgusting
If you haven't visited this site (WallStreetDiscriminates.com) you need to. If you've been layed off, count your blessings. If you're still there, update your resume and get out. Post to the site if you have a story to share.
Let's hope the era of layoffs as a fix-all is behind us
Maybe that'll finally force leadership to step up their game and actually run the business instead of just extracting wealth.
Constant cuts are taking their toll
The atmosphere changed after the layoffs became the norm and it hasn't come back. People are hesitant to speak up, to take initiative, and to trust. I keep waiting for things to feel normal again, but they never do. It's no surprise, though, since we all know more layoffs are always a possibility.
Are more sell-offs happening soon?
Any update on upcoming possible divestitures for non-core or is everyone just being slowly laid off now?...
Management got hit harder than us lowly folks?
A rare sensible move, if true.
Not transferring
Like others said, it’s just another way to get booted later. Je-king us around.
Another bonus cut
When did omnissa last paid 100% of the bonus? They just keep disrespecting whoever has decided to stay loyal to them the last year
Any sense of how long these layoffs will go on?
Wouldn't shock me if it bleeds into next week.
Good luck to all. Not much else to say at this point.
