Fortune Fluff Piece / Dead in the Eyes
https://fortune.com/2026/03/24/centene-ceo-sarah-london-health-care-insurance-trump-medicaid/
Fortune just dropped a fluff piece on Sarah London. It’s a masterclass in fluffy bootlicking. How much did the company pay for this pile of trash?
They call her a "mission-driven" savior fighting for Medicaid. Ba-f!
Let’s start with the photo. It’s awful. She looks completely dead in the eyes. There is zero warmth. Zero humanity. Just the cold, vacant stare of someone who fires thousands of people and then complains to CNBC about her "stressful schedule."
Fortune gushes over her "social impact" goals. They forgot to mention her $20M paycheck, while the company posted a $6.7 billion net loss last year.
She isn't driven by a mission. She’s driven by a massive bonus while her company burns and she runs MFN's legacy into the ground.
She's just a Layoff Queen who talks about "operating discipline." That’s corporate-speak for firing people. We all painfully know how many thousands of lives she's ruined with her inept leadership and lack of strategy. No amount of glowing praise from "Culture Karen" can redeem her.
"London Calling" started her career in Hollywood. It shows. She isn't a healthcare executive. She’s a storyteller. A pretty face with a vacant stare. This is just her latest script. She talks about "affordable housing" to distract from the fact that her business model relies on denying care and firing the people who do the actual work.
She is the ultimate corporate grifter. High on rhetoric. Low on ethics. Exceptionally well-compensated for failure. She isn't fighting for Medicaid. She isn't fighting for her employees. She’s fighting for her next glossy magazine profile. I've never seen anyone fail upwards so well.
its happening slack numbers keep dropping since this morning
layoffs are happening , the general channel numbers are dropping very fast today didnt count but its about 250-300+
Guilt is still eating at me
I survived the last several rounds of layoffs and I feel horrible about it. Some of the best people on our team got cut and I'm still here, with less than two years under my belt. I know logically it's not my fault, but I can't shake this guilt every time I log on.
When are layoffs happening in Germany?
To my knowledge no employees were laid off in Germany on the Ansys side due to the work council. Any news on when this is going to happen? Any news on how close they are to an agreement?
How many layoffs did we have in the last 12 months?
I can think of three rounds that consisted of more than just a few people. Am I missing anything?
I’m exhausted from constantly waiting for the next round of layoffs
Are we ever going to be able to focus on work again, or is this just how it’s going to be now?
How did Data&AI fare in yesterday's layoffs?
I know Jeff was swinging the axe yesterday and some poor 400 souls got hit sadly. The real question on my mind is did he completely obliterate the Data&AI group or are they still around. I know a director was let go in January/February. I'm just curious if he managed to plug the Data&AI money hole for good...
How low can it go
Will it be below 14$ by the end of the week? It’s a sinking ship while Executive’s are being fed grapes.
How is this even possible?
I went to see how much the workforce has shrunk over the years due to layoffs and I found this:
2025 162,000
2024 159,000
2023 164,000
2022 143,000
2021 132,000
2020 135,000
2019 136,000
2018 137,000
2017 138,000
2016 136,000
2015 132,000
2014 122,000
2013 120,000
2012 115,000
2011 108,000
With the constant cuts, how the he-l do we have more employees than almost ever before?
Temple Terrace
I can with 100% certainly tell you they are decommissioning the temple terrace building. This is not rumors and is not a joke. February 12th 2026 Verizon data centers LLC changed their mailing address and principle office location to baskin ridge. On top of that on floor 3 of the office, you will see hundreds of blueprints of the property in which are lying in recycled trash bins. The is the final steps of property decommissioning. They also hired contingent security workers at the front desk. It's 100% confirmed.
AI on Monday, Layoffs by Friday?
Dan pushed ai on us all on monday then immediately moved to fire so many people on friday. Was there warning?
Where are these layoffs coming from?
Sycamore tricks continue
Great town hall, love the continued ask to do more without any mutual benefit.
No real numbers, just colors and words
No guarantees to top level performers for bonus or compensation
What would intelligent leadership look like?
Go into the successful locations, what is the common denominator?
STRONG MANAGEMENT that is incentivized to push a team through difficult times.
What is reality?
No incentive.
No reciprocal individual EBITDA benefit
Healthcare isn't office supplies, so DECREASING benefits and hours while INCREASING demands is a fools plan.
When this destructive self imposed Sycamore failure is complete, there will be business case studies added to college macroeconomics courses demonstrating how to NOT run a business.
Monthly bonus for hitting goals could be a good start for MGR, do you have zero motivational ideas Sycamore?
Ask me anything session
Nothing says “ask me anything” like the “organizer has disabled new discussions, and responses” and chat has been turned off by the “organizer for everyone”
Sounds like the long-term plan is to completely get rid of professional services
I'm curious
How many are planning to quit rather than being transferred? I see several people mentioning that's what they're going to do, so I'm just wondering how prevalent that is.
Outsourcing to Cognizant is for firing ppl easier, nothing else
In the so called survivor meeting, they claim Cognizant is excellent partner (which is a TOTAL JOKE if you know what WITCH companies are). And they claim scaling up and down will be easier (scaling up is hard, scaling down is easy). They can fire ones easily by bench policy etc. Please, prepare for other plans. You deserve much better.
VZB Mgmt???
Is another day of Reckoning for VZB mgmt on the horizon?
Thin the herd. Desperately needed. Bring some sanity back to the business.
I "survived" the cuts
I'm one of the unlucky ones who's still employed by this trash company. I'm now going to have to do the work of 4 people, and I'm already DROWNING. In our dept meeting they kept saying we'll still meet our deadlines and learn how to "do more with less". It's IMPOSSIBLE.
I sincerely envy my associates who were let go.
Mystic Seaport Museum Cuts 22 Jobs
Mystic Seaport Museum eliminated 22 positions. Employees were informed of these layoffs on Tuesday. The museum cited long-standing financial challenges. Rising inflation and increased operating costs contributed to the decision. These cuts represent about 15 percent of the museum's 150-person staff.

Auburn City Considers Layoffs, Tax Hikes to Balance Budget
Auburn city officials are considering layoffs and tax increases. These measures aim to close a significant budget gap. Rising costs and slow revenue growth strain city finances. ALL TALK /FAKE PEOPLE
wow some people aren’t a man of the word , been saying they wanted to get laid off acting like they are financially all set but they are not , they end up getting laid off saying they are so happy because they hate the place , and would never go back , but they do go back because it’s easy and they will be working until they are 80. ALL TALK
Investors unhappy overall performance
Many investors want to exit their positions in FIS, but most of them are currently down by 30% to 50%, and some even by 70%. Because of these heavy losses, they are unwilling to sell at this point. What investors really want is either a strong turnaround in the company’s performance that drives the stock price up, or for FIS to be acquired by a major industry player so they can recover some value.
However, FIS has a very large workforce, and no major company is interested in acquiring such a high‑headcount organization. As a result, FIS has begun outsourcing and laying off employees to significantly reduce its full‑time workforce—potentially by up to 50% compared to today. This process is expected to continue through the end of the year. Once the company becomes leaner and more cost‑efficient, a sale becomes more likely
NCR Atleos Serbia massive layoffs
It appears that a significant wave of layoffs is underway here in Serbia. I know several people who were let go in the last couple of days. There are rumors that it will continue to happen throughout the next couple of months. I am on the Voyix side of the fence, things here are looking as bleak as it's possible.

What is happening about the layoffs happening in APAC?
Can anyone tell me if there have been any layoffs in the APAC region recently?
Public information regarding the Layoffs
OpenText Reportedly Cut Jobs in March 2026.
https://stlawyers.ca/blog-news/opentext-job-cuts-march-2026/

Reports from this week (March 23–24) indicate that the cuts are not just hitting entry-level staff. The restructuring is specifically targeting:
• Senior Analysts and Team Leads: Multiple reports from the Waterloo and U.S. offices mention that long-tenured leads and senior-level individual contributors were let go in "8-minute" termination meetings.
• Product Management: There are indications of "flattening" within product groups, where middle-management layers are being removed to speed up decision-making for their AI Cloud products.

How many VP's with their bloated wages are going?
After the worst day working for this company in over 10 years I want to know how many VP's are losing their jobs? I am a 'lucky' one and am staying as an FTE but I feel sick about what has happened today and the spineless way the VP's handled the meeting. The upper management should be ashamed at how they have mismanaged this company. A show of the worst aspects of capitalism was displayed today. Too spineless to make people directly redundant and give them a redundancy package they have earnt from years of services. Forcing them to another company which a quick search shows are morally repugnant and treats employees as disposable assets. How long will it take for the board to step in and make the needed changes at the top? The changes in employee numbers over the last 5 years is shocking. Senior managers; You have broken trust with your employees, you have broken our morale, how long do you think this company will survive when you treat people like this.
Charlie Schart (And I meant what I said)
Laid off by verbal notice in January, not given ANYTHING in writing until almost 2 full weeks later. Manager didn't bother to make the 40 min train ride to lay me off in person.
Then was stonewalled by manager and HR- not an acknowledgement that I had e-mailed to ask when I would be receiving information so that I could plan.
Sh---y, inhumane way to do it, and it all comes straight from the Charlie Scharf. The company started that downslide when he walked in the door.
Relieved to be away from the toxicity.
Cary Gaming Layoffs
Meanwhile, out in the real world, Red Storm just laid off 100, and Epic Games 1000.

Two teammates impacted
I don't know if I should feel lucky to still have a job or unlucky that they got paid to leave and my job is about to become much harder with added work.
