Everything Verizon does is perfect. Hans has never made a mistake. We should offer consulting on how to lay people off
The Disaster Isn’t Just External — It’s Internal.
As Verizon launches its Community Disaster Resilience Initiative, complete with hashtags on equity, access, and innovation, one can’t help but notice the irony. This is the same company that has quietly sidelined experienced professionals, replaced... — read more
The Sound of Silence
It is amazing that both the union and the company have not said 1 thing about the extension negotiations. I ask my union reps about it and they just shrug your shoulders and walk away. Also, the company has not said anything about it. Are they... — read more
Response to “Raising the Bar”
It’s fascinating to watch how the definition of “raising the bar” has evolved. In this open letter, Verizon’s Consumer CEO outlines a vision of seamless onboarding, 24/7 rep access, AI assistants, and “Customer Champions.” On paper, it reads like a... — read more

When will verizon layoff managers with less than ten employees
Title pretty much says it. Let's cut cost and get the managers off the books with less then 10 employees. All they do is approve time sheets and remind you about classes. Some only have five employees.
I hate the RTO Trolls , BUT..........
I hate to say it but GN&T will be in the office 3 days/week beginning in September. Announcement to be made prior to 7/4 holiday. Our VP wants us to make a good faith effort to comply but noted he will not be looking at attendance reports.
Verizon’s Talent Shift: Ireland Expansion Tells a Bigger Story
Something many of us are noticing—but not enough people are talking about—is the quiet but clear shift of certain Verizon functions from the U.S. to Ireland. Over the past year, Verizon has reduced thousands of domestic roles—many in Global Supply... — read more
Reality Check, Hans
You say leadership is about “putting the needs of the team ahead of your own.” But under your tenure, Verizon has: • Cut over 10,000 jobs through layoffs, outsourcing, and attrition since 2018, while you pocketed over $65 million in total... — read more

Will Verizon keep Frontier management?
Next big layoff?
Since this is a layoff site, does anyone know when or if another is likely to come to wireless ops? Seems like it should happen soon, things dont seem right. We need to hire but we aren't, there is more work than we can manage. So it seems like the... — read more

Verizon is all about favoritism
Management here is all about who you know. I’ve seen high-performers ignored for promotions while less competent ‘favorites’ move up quickly. Then cue the shocked Pikachu face when they don’t work out and everything gets messed up beyond repair... — read more

Return to office news?
My VP mentioned a return to office decision coming soon, but didn’t give any details. Have you heard anything on this? I’m curious if they will go to 3, 4, or 5 days a week in-office.
Strategic Note: Signal Drift
On paper, the new plan covers the basics: layered offerings, incentive bundling, extended retention hooks. It resembles the architecture of a turnaround. But strategy isn’t judged by its structure—it’s judged by behavior. When internal adoption... — read more

Told it's over
Yesterday they called me in the conference room. To my surprise my manager told me it's over. Then they had HR talk to me to review my payoffs. Please pray for me as am looking for work.
Where is Hans?
He used to be a lot more visible. Now rarely seen or heard from
Pre-screen??

Verizon just launched a $2.8B debt swap
What’s the play? • They’re trading old bonds for new ones maturing in 2037. • Why? To push out debt, lock in lower rates, and avoid a future cash crunch. • It’s a quiet move to protect their credit rating and buy time while 5G revenue lags. This... — read more
Leadership Connect: Messaging Over Meaning
