GCOR Layoffs

Anybody hear if there will be layoffs in the global risk area? So far no news on that according to my bosses.

Put yourself first

What I’ve noticed is that most of us are used to putting BOA first instead of ourselves. It is something on a subconscious level. I always try to meet all expectations, I think about what BOA will look like in a few years, I do my best and I am... — read more

More Layoffs coming

I just found out that more layoffs are coming in June. GT&O is impacted. Back in 2014 when layoffs first started happening my old team was well over 100. 75% of the team was laid off February 2014. Ultimately we ended up as a team of 5. After June it... — read more

Unexpected surprise

My wife was offered a huge promotion at the company she works for. Neither of us knew she was being considered but the advantages of it are too good to pass up. It would mean relocating to another country with at least 2-3 months of preparation. She... — read more

Raise History

Its getting exhausting year after year of very little raises. I'm a B4 and in the past 6 years, my salary has grown a total of 4%. I've been in an exceeds category for all but 1 of those years. What are other people experiencing?

How many of you have a plan?

When the last round of layoffs happened I realized how many people were not prepared at all for the possibility of being affected. I'll admit, while I wasn't among those who were hit it did serve as a wakeup call for me as well. I've started working... — read more

I moved to Albany NY

So I have decided to moved to Albany after following the advice of individuals on this site.

How are your superiors coping with the change?

My career came first and I always subordinated my private life to this company. I worked as hard as I could, but when they saw that I loved my job, they would always give me extra work and I accepted it all. However, lately I have realized that this... — read more

Exhausting atmosphere....

BOA is not the only company where your connections are almost the most important, but it is very pronounced here. Therefore, it is no wonder that some people spend more time making contacts with "important" people here than they are actually... — read more

Internal Job Postings are a JOKE

These positions are usually already filled before they are posted. Been to 2 interviews where right off the bat, the hiring manager says that they already have someone in their org that they are planning to hire but this is an HR checkbox. Didn't... — read more

BofA talks a good game but delivers little

They hire expertise they do not use. They pay nothing and tell you to be thankful. BofA operates on a feudal lord mentality for supervisors. Prepare to be abused and marginalized. They keep the mediocre talent which explains the status of things.

Resignation process?
