Linkedin Profile Walmart Leaders

It looks like all the famous IT leaders in the world are working for Walmart?
Or maybe anyone who joins Walmart becomes a leader without ever writing a single line of code in their entire life.

Everyone's LinkedIn profile header says this leader, that leader, but when I see them in the office, all they do is engage in cheap and dirty politics to keep their positions, contributing nothing to Walmart's growth.

The irony is that Walmart has been satisfying customers since Sam Walton's time.

Everyone acts and pretends on LinkedIn as if they are the reason Walmart is thriving, lol.

Why didn't Dan address the elephant in the room?

The offshore (lack of) customer service is a large factor why customers don't trust Verizon!

You can't talk about Verizon being risk adverse, hung up on processes, and not being the best with the network anymore etc etc without talking about the absolute poor customer service we give !

And I don't blame the vendor reps, it's not their fault they're not trained.

When is Verizon's leadership going to take responsibility for offshoring customer service??

The Emperor’s New Clothes

Sure Dan thinks he’s telling us all these revelatory truths but we all knew what he was saying was true years ago. There’s a significant proportion of the company whose goals are aligned to saying “No” or “It’s not me”. Trying to get anything done, or anything fixed is a complete pain in the a**

Silo management just blocks progress and every VP and SD are responsible for that

Feeling really positive after the all man verizon call

Man I tell you now I feel like Dan has a real plan.I feel really good their gonna find me a new position in the company before my off payroll date.I feel like Dan knows what needs to be done .He is doing exactly that .We are going to dazzle our customers and excite our shareholders. My god this is the most inspiration I have felt since I was given my first promotion.Heres to you Vteamers

What would fix morale for you personally?

Morale is worst I’ve ever seen, and I’ve lived through the data breach and Target Canada. I’m trying to think through what would change my attitude and I’ve got:

  1. Replace all senior leaders with competent, caring individuals that act and speak like real human beings rather than corporate robots.
  2. A 10% raise
  3. More thoughtful RTO rules based on job type/duties and level.
  4. Move Product Manager roles back to the US, and just generally stop moving every gd role over to TII.

I realize none of this is ever going to happen, but it’s nice to dream.

Bravo Dan

Saying nothing but the truth. We aren’t what we used to be. Hans shipped all of customer service to 3rd world countries. What were we thinking the outcome was going to be ? Cheaper for a better experience? Heck no. You get what you pay for. The good old days with Lowell where our customer service was #1 and respected.

Our network su-ks. What happened to our network ? Can you hear me now? “Call dropped” I miss those day we had full bar is signal anywhere we would go. Now it’s 1 bar everywhere unless you live next to a tower within site distance.

This is the board - the culprits of misleading this company

What did the board do these oast years? Allow the worst decisions. How they fixed it? Unload 13+ of the employees 🤬 - oh, and come to sip a cuppa coffe in front of every employee

-

VZ board member compensation varies, with independent directors typically earning around $335k-$365k in cash for 2024, while Chair Mark Bertolini and CEO Daniel Schulman received higher amounts, alongside stock awards; specific figures show Clarence Otis Jr. earning over $410k cash, and others like Carol Tomé and Vittorio Colao earning $335k, with amounts reflecting their roles, though total compensation (including equity) differs and requires review of proxy statements.

Key Board Members (as of late 2025):

  • Daniel Schulman: Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
  • Mark Bertolini: Chairman of the Board.
  • Hans Vestberg: Special Advisor & Board Member.
  • Roxanne Austin: Director.
  • Vittorio Colao: Independent Director.
  • Laxman Narasimhan: Independent Director.
  • Carol Tomé: Independent Director (UPS CEO).
  • Shellye Archambeau: Independent Director (MetricStream CEO).
  • Jennifer Mann: Independent Director (Coca-Cola EVP).
  • Caroline Litchfield: Independent Director (Merck CFO).
  • Clarence Otis, Jr.: Independent Director (Darden Restaurants).

Thoughts on All Employee Webcast

  • it’s unacceptable to start a meeting at 10:31 instead of 10:30 but runs over in current meeting
  • talks about silos and every single thing in this company is siloed
  • culture is at its worst because Sam Hammock- get rid of her
  • customer service is bad across all companies- it’s literally the most simple answer- stop putting non English speakers in customer service roles
  • about time we do away with not hiring / promoting outside of NJ or TX - but will we hold HR accountable for putting that new policy in place
  • I do agreed with what he said about us not winning and doing poorly but in all honestly, it’s leaderships fault for where we are. When will leadership be held accountable?

Someone pinch us - IS THIS DAN FOR REAL? Making jokes in the ALL Hands?

Dan telling jokes and stxpid stories - in the ALL hands - while we are all freaking out of the future and so many lives being impacted. This is so unwelcomed.

Dude - you as a board were s failure - VZ leaders are just clowns - following the board and now you keep a while company to do a seinfeld sequel clown show 🤬

Really, How Bad Can Shell Be At Staff Admin?

How poor are personnel and career management at Shell, really? That’s a question, not a statement.
Doge fires 1,000s on bogus poor performance allegations; many having to sue to get their jobs back.
Ford warns employees they risk firing for not complying with RTO orders.
Meta and GM terminate by impersonal, surprise emails and/or texts, after blocking intranet access.
Many staffers at lots of companies agonize over cutbacks and layoffs.
Is Shell actually so much worse? By comparison, how different can Shell be at personnel management and career offerings? Is the grass really greener elsewhere?

Where are the SLT

It is Q4. It is the end of the year. Where are the SLT and a rallying cry for end of year business ??????? It appears they are stuck behind their spreadsheets and 40 page slide decks - no communication with sales, no customer visits, no “how can I help you win business in next 20 days”. Even our new Chief Revenue Officer and our new CMO who normally are on the final push can’t be bothered anymore. And then when the results are terrible it will be the peeps fault and nothing to do with them.

Clover

Clover leadership has become an absolute joke. Let’s just call it what it is - complete incompetence from top to bottom. These people have no vision, no direction, no accountability, and no clue how to run a company. Every decision feels like it’s made on impulse, panic, or pure ego.

We’ve had endless “leadership changes” that fix nothing because the same people responsible for the disaster are still sitting in the same chairs pretending they’re guiding the company. Meanwhile, teams are burned out, priorities explode every other day, execution is a mess, and the so-called leaders can’t make a single clear or intelligent decision to save their lives.

It’s honestly embarrassing watching talented employees grind while leadership stumbles around in circles, throwing out half-baked strategies and calling it progress. The disconnect is massive. The incompetence is obvious. And the silence from the top tells you everything. They don’t know how to fix anything because they’re the problem.

At this point, seriously… what the he-l are we doing here? How much longer are we supposed to pretend this is normal? Because Clover leadership sure as he-l isn’t leading anything.

Are you planning on joining the employee stock purchase program?

I am interested in whether people are thinking of joining up.

My thoughts are that the company doesn’t feel very stable, the morale is low and I’m not really sure if growing the company is the real long term plan of our leadership. I still believe that we will be broken up and sold off.

So, I was wondering if I’m an outlier here and if others are feeling more optimistic about Solventum’s future.

Reshuffling National Sales in WIM

I heard they cut some of the fat cats at the top of the hierarchy. They are making them reapply for their positions while also providing severance pay? I haven't noticed any of those positions listed either internally or externally. From what I hear, they covet fresh ideas and are looking for external applicants for those positions.

Did they just decide they can manage without the higher salaries at the top? I worked near one of them, and they always seemed to be doing nothing at all, they are from the Maryland area. They complained half the time about their direct report and the other half just looked busy and left early often. I know WIM sales is very heavy with people making too much. Is this a sign of the future? Cut from the top and move down instead of the usual cut from the bottom and gradually move up?

India ....no promotion for G6s

I have been told that i need to have minimum 15+ years experience to move to G7 in India .Is this normal ?

This leadership group's most detrimental practice is the systematic sidelining of high performers. Governed by an implicit anti-meritocratic stance, their chief aim is self-preservation. They intentionally install a layer of middling and compliant managers beneath them. This creates a buffer that prevents truly talented individuals from advancing to levels where they might question authority, reveal strategic shortcomings, or disrupt the status quo. Having reached the later stages of their careers, their focus has narrowed to preserving their lucrative positions and titles with minimal exertion, effectively treating their roles as comfortable sinecures.

BNY’s new company theme song…..

Oompa Loompa doompadee doo
I've got another puzzle for you
Oompa Loompa doompadee dee
If you are wise you will listen to me
What do you get if your manager lies on EOYs like a rat?
Pampered and spoiled like a Siamese cat?
Blaming the employees is a lie and a shame
You know exactly who's to blame:
The Chairman Robby and the HR Shannie!
Oompa Loompa doompadee dah
If you're not greedy & spoiled then you will go far
You will live in happiness too…
Get out of BNY Like the ….
Oompa Loompa doompitty do

So, what exactly is the plan?

Is the plan that there’s still no plan?

It feels like a step backward to add more friend of a friend C-suite serial consulters instead of trying to invest in reversing the trend of accelerating employee burnout and churn. It’s starting to spread to CS/net technicians who are usually somewhat isolated from the corporate tumult.

Are they just trying to get some more pals paid before the next buyout comes?

Shankar is good

I mean you guys have a very different opinion . Shankar did the best for the company last 15 years . I met him few occasions and his vision is great and he is always optimistic and up to date with the latest trends . If not him , i dont know wht will happen without Shankar to Vz. All his juniors aren't root for verizon to win . They find a way to put more pressure for them to survive and it goes down to the bottom . SShankar is the main guy who kept calm and composed .
