$100/bo wti… looking for a new job?

Survivors, how many of you are interviewing and applying somewhere else to take advantage of the higher commodity price. My guess is 50% or more of the company is at this point.

A lot of other companies are hiring and I don’t believe the “transformation is complete” narrative.

Any thoughts on this from the audience?

VBG Intl to BT sell off imminent

Heard on the grapevine that the sell off to BT is now more likely than the mass dismissal in EMEA. At least for Professional Services teams working on Security products. That should buy people some security for a few years. Regarding exactly which teams, remains to be seen. BT earnings call today 21.05.

Corruption at its core.

Michael Dell “donates” $6.2B gets put on some BS AI government review board by Trump and a call out to buy Dell stock. Stock rise by 14%.

Donny T invests several million into nvidia stock, announces to buy nvidia and Dell. Nvidia doesn’t get tariffed.

Jeff C gets $150M for laying off 60K people in 2 years increasing profit margins. They sc--wed 60K people for their own profit.

Now, the people that are left aren’t making more money, they’re working harder with less people to do more.

Meanwhile there’s nothing there from a product perspective. No products, nothing but corruption and hype.

These are vipers. Sub humans who do nothing but sc--w over people for their own benefit. They are the epitome of what is wrong in America.

BTW. Layoffs in June, July and August by these POS.

Layoffs AGAIN! Polish Your Resume!

A big round of layoffs last week! A lot of good people who were loyal career employees were axed with zero empathy from leadership. With the abysmal combined ratio this company is running, you can expect more devastation to come! IMO this company is posturing to be sold or fold. Run for the hills, folks!

Partner Started This Week Only to Walk By Those Being Laid Off

My partner literally just started at Citi as part of the wealth division within the past few weeks. As they were getting their badges and other new hire stuff, others were turning in theirs due to being laid off. Not the most re-assuring for people you just hired lmao.

Not just VP’s

Obviously a tiny part but heard that a Director and 2 AM’s got tagged earlier this week. Speculation is one of the AM’s got hit to save the Director a spot. When level bumping is being discussed it usually means things are getting real.

RIF

Many got RIF notice today. I hope you land in a better place. It’s scary watching people with same job title disappear but nothing worse than experiencing it.

Bring back employee surveys!!!

UKG stopped surveying since they know the scores would be so low. The whole company is in complete chaos. Constant change in leadership. Most support teams in US have been laid off.
They are decommissioning systems and applications that are being used to support clients because it’s “too expensive”.
July 2026 would mark 2 years of Jennifer Morgan disaster leadership. Will see be out soon?

Care less and live happy

It’s really so simple. Once you start to care less is when the job gets better. Remember you will be replaced one day whether it is retire, die, or laid off. This company does not care about you more than the next person. Take care of yourself first. Words of wisdom from Les Brown “work harder on yourself than you do on your job!”

Stock based layoffs

Did we notice a pattern here in all tech layoffs ? lot of 1-3 year experienced who got joining stocks or stocks at executive range are thrown out. Same happened with Oracle and now with Meta.
We all know Oracle was faking around the hikes and promotions with just 2 words: Longevity and Stocks. Both are gone now.
