Wasted talent...

In all my years, I can't remember ever seeing such wasted talent being held back by 25-50% of any & every given day being in redundant meetings, being micro managed to the point, 25% of the day is spent on tracking your tasks and if your lucky you... — read more

Work ethics

Man, I don’t understand some of my coworkers. One just doesn’t care how much effort he puts in. To hear him tell it you’d think the company OWES him just for showing up. I get that a lot of people aren’t happy with the company and don’t want to give... — read more

Severance package details

So I know all the money is going to be taxed (of course). What’s a good way to avoid the high taxes or what is the tax percentage of the the severance. Do you think PNR is headed for a sale or merge with Parsley. What’s the incentive to stay? Should... — read more

Work Apathy

Since the names have been decided and sent to hr and legal, what’s the incentive for anyone to do their best for the next three weeks?

Can they tell us the date

Last time they told us day of. They will likely do the same now. Could be nice to know in place of guessing its this week. Oh wait its this week.

Are more layoffs ahead?

Read an article dated last month saying layoffs will be concluded by next quarter. So does that mean we are done for now or will there be more before the end of the month?

Another good reason

11 pm explosion in midland. Another reason to get out of this God forsaken town.

Great balance sheet

So we all keep hearing about this great shape that the company is in....seems like salaries are an insignificant issue. Re-org after re-org, probably isn’t going to recover morale anytime soon.

Facilities Group Outsourced

Bent over backwards for this company and they totally screwed us. Outsourced our positions to another company and now we have to interview with the new company and no severance package. Take the new job which is less pay and less benefits or end... — read more

Restructure

NEW EMAIL WENT OUT Restructure has begun. With moves! Anyone know who is moving from MCO/LCO for sure?

Advice Pre Package

Got the package last time. They let us keep our company phones, and said they would give us a couple days to get our contacts, photos, etc off of it. False. My phone was shut off and blanked remotely, leaving me unable to call my wife etc within an... — read more

As we inch closer and close to the slaughter date...

As we inch closer and closer to the date that was chosen for anyone of you to be released. Remember this. God has a plan. Don’t want to get all biblical and all but I see a lot of people hating other departments and “venting” which is both healthy... — read more

Pioneer is not a good place to work

Sadly, Pioneer has become the place you join if you want your career to die. Nobody joins this company unless they really have to - it's been like this for years. And by employing people nobody else will, the company just keeps sinking lower and... — read more

Enjoy the Labor Day weekend

Rumor has it, the decisions have been made, and sent to MC for approval. Nothing we do will change the outcome now. Let’s say, we all have 50/50 chance, and the outcome is out of our control. Worrying about it won’t help you keep your job.

Here is hoping.

I really wish this site was more useful and those pot stirrers would seek drama elsewhere. Stop asking about recruiting! It's the least of our worries, stop pitting departments against each other as if there wasn't enough animosity between them and... — read more

ok. We are all dying for information which is why these meager posts are getting so many hits. I think it is cruel how early they announced this without the slightest hint of transparency. Managers and supervisors are in the dark and IF they... — read more

Any new happening so far this Monday? What do you think is most likely scenario for rollout? Restructure then layoff or are they going to let the managers choose which supervisors/contributors they like before they fire the managers?
