Non-Core layoffs, who's actually been affected?
I'm a US-based remote employee in an SMBC Non-Core unit. I was certain I'd be laid off, but the axe hasn't fallen on me or several peers.
Is this a real stay of execution, or just a holding pattern before they sell us off?

Little to no layoff chatter
Should I take this as a good sigh? Or is it just the usual calm before the storm?
Is 2026 March round finished?
We are all sad to see our brilliant coworkers leave this week in the US and around the globe. Is this round finished? If so, when will be the next round? We all need to get prepared for the next impact now.
No layoffs for a while
A coworker mentioned he talked to his manager who told him to relax, no cuts planned for a while. I think this sounds too good to be true but one can hope. Has anybody else heard something like this?
House calls
Anyone show no schedule past May 2026 in house calls? Seems odd, but with the current environment not surprised.
4% or 10%
Big difference in both these numbers .
Which one is it
I am scared and back to bad watting… ONHD?
The talks of tough guys on this post board… what is going on at ONHD. What is we in for next 3 month??
We'll be having regular quarterly layoffs for a while
For at least a couple of years, until everything settles down. There's no doubt about this in my mind. If you like job security, you're out of luck.
Any job is better than unemployment
I know many are tempted to quit with cuts and uncertainty but unless you have something lined up, don't. Even a horrible job that pays the bills is better than unemployment at a time when job market is among the worst it's ever been. Don't make the mistake of putting yourself into an even worse position on an impulse.
What the fcuk is really happening, don't know when it will happen, everyone says it ends before March end.
They did pilot layoff on Tuesday on OCI support organisation, and that's it.. radio silence... They are rumours by end of March... Does management spread this rumor.. or directors spreading this rumor... The wait is ki-ling... Constant thinking... I may get diabetes or what...
Layoff at retirement age
I have nearly 15 years at the bank and am at retirement age. If I were laid off, would I still receive all my retirement benefits, along with any severance they might offer? Or would I be better off retiring before I get laid off? I fully expect more cuts in my BL.
Auto Suppliers Embrace New Strategies Amid Market Volatility
Suppliers no longer expect market conditions to normalize. They are adapting operations for ongoing market instability. This follows tens of thousands of job cuts in 2025. Relentless regulatory uncertainty also prompted this change. This information comes from a recent S&P Global survey.

Are layoffs done?
Can we be certain?
Planned ASML Layoffs Postponed Amid Uncertainty
ASML revealed plans to eliminate about 1,700 management positions, representing around 4% of its global staff. The cuts focus largely on technical and IT teams, and weeks after the announcement, employees are still waiting for clarity.

ASML Job Cuts Delayed, Workers Remain Uncertain
Dutch semiconductor equipment maker ASML announced layoff plans. The company intended to cut 1,700 management positions. This reduction impacts about 4% of its global workforce. Technical and IT departments were the primary targets. Seven weeks later, the process for affected employees remains unresolved.

How much longer?
How much longer will this outfit last till its bankrupt or bought out? 5 years, 10, ???
Some therapy
Well I woke up feeling uncertain about the future but then I wrote “Verizon doesn’t care about me” on a post-it and i immediately felt better. I recommend it to my colleagues. I will look at that post-it every morning now
Not waiting on layoffs anymore
It is obvious layoffs are going to be massive. Maybe they will not happen all at once, but they are coming. I am done waiting. After 15 years here, I sent out my first applications yesterday and will keep doing it every day. It breaks my heart because I do like my job, but I will be damned if I just sit around waiting like sheep for sla-ghter.
March 16th...
Be prepared
Mission Simplify
Good luck, y'all.
Is WellMed getting hit again?
Does anyone know if any teams outside of the clinics are getting hit again? I’m work in corporate but all I keep hearing about are the clinics closing or merging.
No More PDRs?
There are now no more PDRs? What does this mean? Is it just another nail in the coffin of getting a new position/career progression? I guess there won’t be any need for them if there aren’t any jobs to post in a PDC.
An unexpected 1:1
First time this has happened, in the middle of the week. Is this something to be concerned over, considering there are no active layoffs currently?
What do you expect from earnings?
I'm prepared for lots of bad news, but we'll see.
Who’s next to go?
Any news? We’re all sitting here anxious as f***.
Not knowing is unbearable
And nobody should be flippant about it. We all have very good reasons to be anxious.
Job market hellscape
The grass is always greener on the other side. Those of you still employed at this soul succubus better enjoy the paycheck while it comes because this job market is a dumpster fire from he-l. This is not the market of 5 years ago. If you haven’t been in it, you have no idea what you’re up against at the moment.
Layoffs will be there but not this week
They indirectly announced layoffs, and eventually it will. Why to rush and go into legal problems. They will announce results and after all calculation and potential legal issues, they will do layoff. May be it can take couple of weeks.
SAVE YOUR MONEY! STAGFLATION - High Oil Prices, AI taking over jobs, Layoffs earlier
SAVE YOUR MONEY! STAGFLATION - High Oil Prices, AI taking over jobs, Layoffs will occur earlier than later. Corporations will feel the pain with increase in inflation. Markets will decline for months. Just because the war stops doesn't mean things get back to normal right away. It will take years to recover and go back to normal. USA debt increases from $38 Trillion to $40 Trillion soon.
I'm hearing rumors about more layoffs happening soon
I'm hoping somebody knows more about it. Hopefully, it's not true, but I've herd it from several different sources and some are not the usual gossips, so I'm starting to worry.
Will layoffs continue or not?
Are we out of the woods for now?
My hair will go gray waiting for phase II RTO
So much hangs in the air. It's all driving me insane.
How do you handle the fear?
Does anyone else worry constantly that today could be the day? I can't shake the feeling that my position might just disappear. How do you cope with that?
Multnomah County Warns 190 Staff of Job Cuts

Hearing list sent on Friday night. So no one knows exact date.
Before quarterly or after quarterly.. or at end of March.
Any word on HIH and US being hit in April?
Saw it here and heard from a few people, though none exactly plugged into decision-making. If anyone has something solid, please share.
Why Our 6‑Month Schedule Is So Confusing
We get a schedule every six months but nobody ever says it’s set in stone, so the bosses can change stuff whenever they feel like it. That makes it really hard to know what to work on or even plan anything outside of work. The “perks” and rules keep getting moved around too, and it just feels like nothing is solid. I think we need a clear time slot that stays the same and a simple way to tell us when things actually change.
Next steps
When will the next action take place and what will it be?
