Topics regarding layoffs at Bank of America

This place is beyond redemption

I'd advise everybody to start looking for a new job and leave as soon as they can. There is no winning here. Before I'd usually advise everybody to not make any rash decisions and wait for a possible severance, but now staying means risking our... — read more

Breakthrough Covid - Firsthand

I’m recovering from a “mild” breakthrough case of Covid. I’m healthy and have no pre-existing conditions. I see comments on this site minimizing breakthrough cases, and it’s obvious y’all don’t know what you’re talking about. Even though I was not... — read more

Has anyone gotten a medical accommodation approved?

I am immunocompromised due to medication and am considered high risk for severe covid (even vaccinated) and don’t go anywhere indoors. I don’t see family indoors, even vaccinated/masked. Has anyone gone through the medical accommodations team and... — read more

I pivoted from fearing layoffs to praying for one

I can't afford to quit or be fired but the whole RTO issue has me praying to be laid off. I can't believe that just months ago I was petrified of that possibility and now I see it as the best-case scenario for my future. That should be enough to tell... — read more

Why was that thread removed?

Someone posted about layoff / mandatory unpaid leave due to being unvaccinated. Do we know what the bank is for sure going to do? I had it open but now it's gone. This forum is removing things that don't align to the mainstream BS, what the heck... — read more

First Week Oberservations DIY WFH Hybrid happening.

During week one of back to the office in Charlotte I noticed folks there a few days a week and the rest of the time WFH, folks there during the AM and then leaving early and working the rest of the day from home. It was almost like a Do your own... — read more

Having to commute again…

When the time comes when we are forced to work from the office again… I have been thinking about counting the majority of my commute time as part of the work day, given I would be working from home during this time spent on the train or in the car... — read more

Executives are Cutthroats & Sl--e-ba--s! without ba--s

Bank of American is nothing but a cutthroat company with cutthroat executives & managers! They are notorious for gaslighting employees! They did a lot of “dirt” while servicing mortgages! It is really going to catch up with them one day!

Attrition and Morale is a big problem...mgt meeting

Was in a fairly senior meeting today. Those two came up as well as "flight risk" employees. One of the senior mgrs who i respect a lot did not hold back and said something to the effect: We've cut their year end comp last year, we've replaced those... — read more

I didn't know this was a competition

Looks like BofA decided to enter the race for the most toxic culture, the most hated employer, and the most employees forced to quit within a month title, all at once. I can't find any other explanation for why our work environment has shifted so... — read more

Pretenders

I started thinking about leaving the moment I realized that those who only pretend to work hard are more valued here than truly hard workers. . . For that reason, I enjoyed working from home because I no longer had to watch their acting. I don't... — read more

CDC Guidelines

Anyone notice in pictures of RTO that people are not wearing masks while in conference rooms sitting right next to each other? Also in counties with mask mandates for indoor areas the bank is not requiring you to wear mask while at desk which goes... — read more

Give it your minimum

All the companies that implemented WFH during the pandemic saw an increase in productivity. Now that they're stubbornly determined to bring us back to the office, I say we give them our minimum. Let them see what they're losing by forcing us back. I... — read more

CB's replacement already parroting RTO

For those who had hopes he would be a change...I hate to break it to you. He's just another warm body in the position. No backbone to challenge the status quo. He just fired of an email full of hypocritical "your safety is our top priority" as covid... — read more

Caught between a rock and a hard place

Returning to the office is the worst thing I could do right now. I'm vaccinated and that provides me with some protection but if there are too many unvaccinated people around me who are more likely to catch Delta and spread it further, I'm not safe... — read more

Vax mandate for external hires

So BofA requires the vax for any external hire. Anyone want to take a guess on how long it will be before they mandate it for existing employees?

The Curious Case of Agile

The moral of this story is that the BAC leadership is not d-mb, but they did miscalculated some things. And the other moral is that things aren't always as they seem. It is no secret that Agile when you have regulators up your ar-e ceases to become... — read more

Anyone else feel like a lab rat

All the other major financial institutions held back when the cases sky rocketed. I search for updates and ALL I see are financial forecast from the Bank. No concern for health or employees. No safety has been put in place at sites. We are working in... — read more

Breakthrough cases

One on my floor less than a week into the RTO. Not worth risking health coming back to work.

Hey BM!

Has one of your sycophants told you Wells Fargo is delaying return to work? Can't you admit RTO now is a mistake? Wait for it. Wait fort it. Wait for it. Oh never mind you couldn't admit to a mistake even if our lives depend on it!

Nobody Cares Anymore

I felt that since the RTO news came that people's drive or motivation (whatever was left) has been decimated. You can hear it in people's tone and for those who returned to the office you can see it in their eyes. This is going to be SUPER bad for... — read more

Back story on why Bessant is out

When BM arrived, CB started to make her case for her tech empire. A portion of that included significant investment with promised returns due to improved operations etc. That investment happened, and we all saw hiring frenzy and salary increases... — read more

I don't think everybody is being truthful

Everywhere I look, there are employees who claim they left for a better job with higher pay. Here, Facebook, wherever. However, all the people I know personally are struggling to find a job that has any kind of job security and at least comparable... — read more

Low of the lowest morale

Layoffs aside...this whole rto and how the company has handled things including comp is driving morales to the ground. I have never seen it this bad ever.

RTO Failure

Not socially distanced, No cleaning completed, masks not being worn, inaccurate CDC information being shared by HR. They don’t care. So frustrating!

CB is no longer CTO.

Well.....per today's announcement from BM. CB is now "vice chair global strategy" relocating to Paris. So we don't have to listen to her any more. Aditya assume CT&IO position.
